SOURCE: Oil filled Heater will not turn on and heat.

First thing make sure: · Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly. · Be sure the heater is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is working properly. · Check for any obstruction. If you find any obstruction, turn the heater ?OFF?. Unplug the heater and wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Carefully remove the obstruction. Plug the heater in and turn it on again by referring to the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Second, If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the heater and look for anything strange like a blown fuse. A lot of times you can buy replacement at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace.

SOURCE: Dayton Infrared natural gas heater ignition/flame sensor

Yes, the flame sensor is part of the intermittent pilot assembly. Check the following: make sure all grounding wires are secure and no corrosion is built up on them. Clean or replace the pilot assembly, also clean out the orifice with a very small drill. Make sure the sensor is in the flame and make sure the pilot tube is not leaking gas reducing the gas pressure at the pilot.

If it continues, you will have to replace the ignition control.

SOURCE: Coleman furnace blower runs continuously

You should be seeing 120 volts to the igniter. Anything less requires either a replacement of the transformer, start relay or control module.

SOURCE: Goodman GDS8 Furnace Won't Cycle

I had the same issue as zippygaloo with the harness plug. By lifting up the connector, the furnace would go out of it's current fail mode and start operating normal again. I have temporarily resolved my issue, by tying up the wires (looped under them with tie raps) and secured them to the vented furnace housing directly above, thus alleviating any stress pulling down on the connector plug by the weight of the wires. Since doing this my furnace has been running flawlessly and stays right at the temp on the Tstat. No more fault modes with blinking lights! Hope this helps you guys. I don't know if it's related to bad design flaw, or there is a weak connection on the board, but it worked for me.

My camper water heater with electronic ignition lights for a short few second burst 3 times and then times out due to heater switch inside camper..why

Sounds like it may be a dirty flame sensor. It can be gently cleaned with steel wool or scotch bright pad (not emery or sand paper). Its a small rod that sits in the flame. I believe it is part of the spark ignition assembly on your model. Only open your burner compartment though if your are certain you have the skills (and perhaps gaskets etc) to reassemble it safely.

God bless

Atwood 38591 Excalibur xt 1522 LP two stage furnace. Operates on high fan only

Hi Dave. I'm Roger. Its normal for a furnace to shut down completely when the set point on the thermostat is reached. The first and second stages are used when the temp. gets close to set point. The heat output drops to its low stage at around 3 degrees before set point. Check your owners manual for specifics on the fan though.

Atwood 1522 LP furnace fan operates at one speed only

Furnace only works at one speed, high and low fan is usually used for AC. It never has had 2 speeds on furnace correct? Furnaces usually only have 1 speed, except for some home models.

Atwood 7920-11 furnace will not light. I am trying to light the furnace on my 2006 Jayfeather 19H camper that is an Atwood and looks to be an automated pilot lighting system but I continually get a flame...

Your electrode acts as flame sense as well. Remove electrode and clean it thoroughly/carefully especially at end where flame would be sensed and retry. Be sure connections on high tension wire is good and clean as well as connector and contacts on circuit board as well. If still same result, replace electrode.

Fan comes on and stays on regardless of thermostat, never fires the gas burners to heat. Basically just the fan runs.

Is it the Exhaust fan running????Check the vent outside for obstructions......also the Condensate may not be draining properly...Need more info...Look for a flashing light/s on the circuit board.,...this will give you the error code....Usually when the Exhaust fan runs and nothing else happens the Pressure switch (proves the fan is running prior to ignition) is either not closing , defective or there is an obstruction in your vent/s

Atwood GC6AA-9E water heater isnt working properly

The ignitor is also a flame sensor. If it's not working to ignite, good chance it's not sensing flame to keep gas flowing as well. Could also be board.
