I am getting a dark lines when i take prints or xeroxes

I change the cleaning blade and drum same problem is repeating

Hi, Satya, If you mean making a photocopy, then clean your scanner glass (including the narrow piece).

SOURCE: a 1/4" vertical gray line off center prints on copies and faxes

chances are that its coming from your heat roller. if you open rear cover and look closely, you will see a unit with an orange colored lower roller, and the upper one is your heat roller. if you inspect upper roller, you should see the defect. its a teflon coated roller and sounds like teflon has worn off. you will have to have that replaced.

After changing the toner we get a black line down the center of the page when printing or copying


Your copier utilizes a print drum cleaning blade similar to a windshield wiper. That blade is distorted or worn , affecting that area of drum. IF a techie, you could remove BOTH print drum & blade, clean BOTH with cotton "ROUNDS" & SILICONE car polish. Buff drum thoroughly dry, reassemble.

are you sure, you use the best ink having dark formula based. If yes, clean the drum with alcohol etc. and u will get dark print. If no change the powder.

My M15i Xerox Workcentre is printing with a vertical line down the page


Solutions for : Vertical Black Lines on Copies When the Automatic Document Feeder and Document Glass are Used Solution : Clean the Drum
  1. Make sure there is paper loaded in the paper tray.
  2. Press the [Menu / Exit] button on the Control Panel.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Maintenance' is displayed on the Display Screen.
  4. Press the [Enter] button. 'Clean Drum' will be displayed.
  5. Press the [Enter] button. 'Cleaning Drum Please Wait' will be displayed and a sheet of paper will be printed. Toner (Dry Ink) particles on the Drum will be affixed to the paper.
  6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 until the page prints without any Toner particles.

Hello sir; When you make copy is through by ADF? make another copy leave on the glass, compare both, is that same with the line then you have to replace drum blade, if first one with the line and second one without the line, then you need to clean a narrow strip glass on left hand side of the plateform.

New toner xerox pe220 laser and it prints dark pages now


Make sure the electrodes between the drum unit and the printer is clean. Use a soft cloth or Qtip to clean, maybe slightly moisturized with vodka (not kidding). Vodka is actually perfect for cleaning most stuff that needs cleaning in printers, even the photosensitive layer on the drum if there happen to be dirt spots on it (gentle rubbing with Q-tip, very carefully).

Also clean the corona wire as per instructions in the manual, don't know your particular printer but there is usually some kind of knob on the drum unit that you are supposed to use for this purpose.

This should fix the problem.

Fault code J50 & dark strip.


This is for a Mita 1560 Photocopier (analog)
J50 was caused by exit sensor not sitting correctly in its bracket,I fixed this by pushing it until it
clicked back in.
The dark lines & double imaging can be caused light getting onto the drum ,or if the drum gets
cold (so I have been advised) which one it was for sure I will never know because when I
returned the next day & fixed the exit sensor the copy was OK.

My copies have a thin line from top to bottom that is very light to no print at all. The thin line is at the same place every time but the rest of the copy looks great. I have replaced the drum and toner...


You probably have some thing in the developer unit, if you take out the developer and check the bag roller and brush, if you slowly turn the dev unit you might see a void area that is being passed onto the drum.
If the developer has a large numbers of copies on it then dump the developer and replace the starter.
Make sure the developer get thoroughly cleaned especially behind the blade.

If the developer is not all that old, then lift the blade off and clean the backside of the blade, and the area or areas of the brush that have the void.

Copier too dark


Did you clean the lens and the mirror under the lens cover? If so, There is a VR behind the front cover of most small Xerox machines. One VR makes the image darker/lighter and one VR changes the lead edge registration.

Sharp AR-M280N- Printing dark lines


It sounds like you are going to need a new drum and drum cleaning blade. How long has it been acting up? When was the drum last replaced? The image repeatting could also be coming from the UFR??? It really depends on how many copies you have on it and has it been seatting for awhile..... Need some more info... But you most likely will not be able to fix your self..
