It should be in the lamp housing, under the lamp. Probably a disk type. Make SURE you vacuum the dust from the lamp area after you replace the fuse. DO NOT blow air into the housing--it may get into the engine and contiminate it !!

Kodak 750h slide projector; brand new bulb, but it won't turn on/light up? Could it be the lamp socket? I did open the machine up, and there is a ceramic part; thermal fuse? resitor? or Solenoid??? Not...

If the lamp is new, then your problem is caused either by the lamp socket that the lamp slides into, or the lamp thermal fuse.
The white part over the fan is a dropping resistor, which allows the projector to operate in the "LOW LAMP" position of the power switch.
A factory-trained service dealer can help you locate the parts or (better suggestion) isolate & repair your projector.

Where is the thermal fuse locates in the sony KDF-e60A20?

Hi, the thermal fuse i located right next to the lamp is actually mounted on the lamp casing, deep inside the tv, you will need to disassemble the tv in order for you to get to it, if don't have any skill is better that you call the repairman and you are looking at $250.00 repair.
good luck

Sharp copier z 57 II black copy, lamp replaced but still not on?

Nearly all of them have thermal fuses or small circuit breakers. The thermal fuse is in series with the the lamp wiring and is physically very near the lamp.If the lamp stays on for too long, it overheats the thermal fuse which then sacrifices itself to protect the lamp.Good Luck

Thermal Fuse

The thermal fuse is usually located near the lamp to prevent the lamp overhaeting and damaging the set. Sony uses two types of thermal fuses: the first type is a circular metal type, about the size of a quarter with two metal tabs for push on lugs that connect to the TV. The second type is a small plastic half moon type woth wires coming from the base. Contrary to what you might read elsewhere on this site, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you mount the new fuse where the old one was, for safety reasons.

Thermal Fuse went bad, and i can't find it.

Theres a thermal sensor near the lamp housing. other than that I am not aware of any other thermal fuses. There are however pico fuses solder to the circuit traces themselves on the back side of the circuit board where the runners are.

Screen goes black, 5 blinking red lights, screen back on for 20 seconds....cycle continues

Let me first say that if you are getting 5 blinks its not the thermal fuse. Your problem is your Lamp. You have what we call an intermittent Lamp. The only way to fix this is to replace the lamp. Part Number A-1085-337-A. Average cost $217.00
