I struggled with the "FORMAT ERROR" message on my NE-E005 for a while. Eventually I went in to the advanced menu and reformatted the player from the initialise sub menu. Obviously that meant I had to transfer all my files from scratch but at least it made the player work again! Going forward, always make sure you transfer files in ATRAC format and that should prevent the problem from occurring again.

SOURCE: Premier 2gb mp4 player

there is no current soloution, there is a virus on the net that completly wipes all information off mp4's including the driver files, repair files and mp4 player files.
the only temporary way to fix it is to either find another mp4 and copy the sofware off that and install the divices from the copied folder, or somehow download the files off the net.

Ok i Just had the same problem but ithink i figued it out because i just put a video in their and it worked. So first of all u must ahve done a type-o because WMA is not a video format it means Windows Media Audio so i am assuming u said Windows Movie Video(WMV).
So what i did is I put the Resolution as 320x240 and put it in a folder in your desktop then drag the file and drop it try that and if u still have problems just ask.

WE HAVE A READY 2 DOWNLOAD MESSAGE ON OUR SCREEN AND WE CANNOT GET RID OF IT. WE TRIED SHUTTING IT OFF .

This is the current solution posted by HP. Sounds like your firmware is corrupt and these are the steps you need to take. This may or may not work.

  1. Close the firmware update tool on the computer if it is still active on the screen, and then turn off the product.

  2. If the product is on a network, connect a USB cable (2 meters or less) from the product to an open port on the computer. HP recommends that this be a direct connection instead of through a hub.

  3. Turn on the product, and then wait for the message ready 2 Download to appear.

  4. On the computer, cancel any alerts about a new device being connected.

  5. On the computer, open the Printers and Faxes control panel.

  6. Right-click the printer driver for the product model that is being updated, and then click Properties .

  7. In the Properties dialog box, click the Ports tab.

  8. Note the name of the port that the product is currently connected to for use later when reconnecting at the end of this process.

  9. Click the check box next to USB001 . If USB001 is already connected to another USB device, click USBXXX where "XXX" is the highest-numbered USB device that has a description of Virtual printer port for USB . Using the scroll bars on the right side of the window might be necessary, depending on the number of devices installed.

  10. Click OK to accept the change and apply the settings.

  11. Restart the firmware update tool on the computer, and then select the same product that was just created.

  12. Start the firmware download.

  13. Verify that the control panel display shows Erasing and then Programming , indicating that the update process has begun. Do not interrupt the firmware update process.

  14. The product should momentarily show the message Complete . Turn the product off and then back on. The product will not automatically reboot.

  15. When the product reboots, on the computer, cancel any alerts about a new device being connected.

  16. Print a configuration page to verify that the update occurred.

  17. Return to the Printers and Faxes dialog box, right-click the printer driver for the product model that is being updated, and then click Properties .

  18. In the Properties dialog box, click the Ports tab.

  19. Click the check box next to the previous port to which the product was connected before the update began.

  20. Click OK to accept the change and apply the settings.

  21. If the product was previously connected via USB, the process is complete. If the product was network-connected, disconnect the USB cable, and then reconnect the product to the network cable.

Hp deskjet 3650 printer works very slowly with win 7

tion one: Check the power supply Follow these steps to check the power supply to make sure that it is functioning correctly.
  1. Turn the product so that you can access the rear side.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product. Figure 1: Unplug the power cord from the back of the product
  3. Remove any devices between the product and the power outlet, such as surge suppressors or power strips.
  4. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.
  5. Print and time a self-test again.
  • If the test page prints in 30 seconds or less , the problem relates to the power supply. Replace devices between the product and the power outlet, or leave the product connected directly to the wall outlet.
  • If the test page takes significantly longer than 30 seconds to print, continue to the next solution in this document.
Solution two: Check the USB connection
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the HP product. Figure 2: Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the HP product
  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the computer.
  3. Wait five seconds.
  4. Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the product and the computer, according to the following guidelines: The icon on the USB cable (c01424575.gif ) faces up when the cable connects to the product correctly. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the back of the product Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer
  5. After you make sure that the USB cable connects correctly and securely, review the following guidelines to check other potential USB-related problems:
    • USB ports on the keyboard. USB ports on the keyboard and in the front of some computers might not be powerful enough to support the product. If the USB cable connects to the USB port on the keyboard, try connecting it to another available USB port on the computer.
    • USB cable length. HP supports USB cables less than 5 m (16 feet, 5 inches) long. However, a USB cable that is 5 m (16 feet 5 inches) long must be of high-quality. Otherwise, HP recommends using a USB cable that is less than 2 m (6 feet, 6 inches). Do not use patch cables to increase the length of an existing cable. Use a powered USB hub if you need more length.
    • Alternate USB ports. Connect the USB cable to another port on the computer to make sure that the USB port on the computer is not the problem.
    • Defective USB cable. Replace the USB cable to make sure that the existing cable is not defective.
    • Conflicting USB ports. Disconnect any other USB printers, USB scanners, USB cameras, and any other USB connected peripherals. Start reconnecting these devices one at a time to determine if one of the devices is using too much power. Consider purchasing and installing a powered USB hub if necessary. NOTE: A USB-powered hub is a device that increases the number of available USB ports on a computer and facilitates communication between the USB devices and the computer. A powered USB hub can resolve communication failures between some, but not all, USB chipsets and HP products.
  6. After checking the USB connection, print and time a self-test page again.
  • If the test page prints in 30 seconds or less , the problem relates to the USB connection. Replace the USB cable or modify the connection to meet the preceding criteria.
  • If the test page takes significantly longer than 30 seconds to print, continue to the next solution in this document.
Solution three: Check cartridge compatibility Incompatible cartridges can cause the slow printing problem. To check the cartridge compatibility for your product, go to HP SureSupply . To identify your cartridge in a language other than English, click the language link near the globe icon (c01906983.gif ) in the upper right corner of your browser. Examine the cartridges in your HP product, and then follow these steps to check which cartridges are compatible with your product. The number on the cartridge label must match the numbers listed on HP SureSupply.
  • If the cartridges are not compatible with your HP product , replace the cartridges. You can order replacement cartridges directly from HP SureSupply.
  • If the cartridges are compatible with your HP product , continue to the next solution in this document.
Solution four: Perform a reset A reset drains the power from the product and returns it to the same settings after restarting.
  1. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn off the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product. Figure 3:
  3. Disconnect the data cable (USB or Ethernet, depending on how your product is set up) from the back of the product. USB cable Ethernet cable
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Figure 4: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet
  5. Wait about 30 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the product and wall outlet, and then turn on the product.
  7. Print and time a self-test again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.

When i plug in my ipod shuffle to my computer it doesnt recognize it or itunes. can you help?

Are you using a PC and not a Mac?
If so, Shuffle's require a USB2 connection on PCs. Some PCs advertise USB2 ports. However, sometimes the USB port on the front of the machine is actually the slower USB v1. Try connecting your Shuffle to a USB port on the back of the machine. If it works, that's the one you need to always connect to.
