Have you tried the last four digits of your cell phone number? The default code is 12345 if you did not change the code in the first place. Some times a good nights sleep or a warm shower might help you recall the new code you don't remember now.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

I just had the same problem. Performed the green key, * and 3 button. Still came up with the enter lock code screen. Just enter the default 12345 and should be fine, then go into phone settings and turn off the lock code on change of sim card.
Hope that helps. Keep in mind it will wipe your phone clean back to default. The lesson here is don't forget what you change your code to, I have learned my lesson.
Hi buddy there are 2 codes for N96 the LOCK Code and the PIN Code.
If you have
not changed your LOCK code, the default number is 12345. The PIN Code
is provided by your cellphone provider unless you have changed that too.
All Nokia LOCK code is always a 5-digit code, not 4 or 6-digits. So in
case you changed your LOCK code to more than 5-digits, enter ONLY the
first 5-digit of your LOCK code.
OR Try this:
Nokia *#7328748263373738# Resets the security code to default(ie,12345)
If that does not work then this applies:
The service provider cannot help you when the passcode has been changed
from the default. It is not called a security code for no reason. You
have 3 choices:
1. Replace the device
2. Send the device back to the manufacturer or take it to a shop to have the software flashed and reloaded
3. Start at 0000 and keep adding 1 to it (0000; 0001; 0002; etc) until you hit the right number
I hope this will help you otherwise I don't know. Plz vote for me.

I got a trick to bypass the security code and reset or change the code.
The method is : 1) When u are asked for security code, there is space for only 4 digits. 2) At that time, press and hold menu button(above the directional keys) for 3-4 seconds. 3) Then the gap for 4 digits will change to 6 digits slot. 4) Type 000000 (six zero) and u will bypass the security code. 5) By same process, u can reset or change the security code from the settings. Repeat this process until u r successfull.
I m looking for ur kind feedback. And dont forget to rate my solution.
Be sure to post a clarification request for ur problem after u got ur problem solved.
