SOURCE: Brother dcp 8060 reinstall paper tray error message

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: My new Brother DCP-8060 won't print - it says it's

If you are hard-wired to the printer (i.e. via USB), and you are sure that there is a connection:

Start button ---> Control Panel ---> Printers and Faxes ---> Find your printer and right-click on it, choose "Use Printer Online"

Give it a moment, and the status will change to online.

If you are using a wireless network, it may be that your printer is not communicating with the router... make sure that the wireless adapter on the printer is on. If it is, as well as the wireless on your PC, power-down your printer, your router and your PC. Power up (in this order) your router. Once it's running, power up your printer (with the adapter on, usually looks like a little "beacon" lit up), and then re-boot your PC.

Then follow the steps above again just like for the USB-connected printer to bring it back online :)

Hope this helps!

When printing on my DCP-8080DN, I am getting a thick black line

Try this:
Clean the inside of the machine and the corona wire in the drum. If this does not solve your issue, replace the drum. Also, the paper tray ground terminal in the machine body may be dirty.Clean the contact with a dry cloth.

"drum near end". What is this? is it easy to fix? how do you fix?

There are two main parts in a laser printer: the toner cartridge and the image drum. Most people are familiar with the toner cartridge, but sometimes the drum is an unknown until you start seeing error messages or streaks and blotches begin appearing on the output.

In some printers, the drum is replaced along with the toner cartridge. But yours has a separate drum, and the printer is warning you it's nearing the end of its life. Replacements are available from a number of sources online, as well as at big-box office supply stores. Genuine Brother drum units will cost over $100, and after-market brands usually range from $50 to $75.

A typical vendor and price is here (I've never purchased from this place myself, and have just used it as an example):
