All gaps on small engines electronic or not are 28 to 30 .I always go for the 28 because after a few months the gap will be at 30 which makes your tune up last longer

Where is the spark module in viking vdsc4876gss?

Hi,

I need production date to confirm but the part I found for this is PA020048 and it located in the rear of the unit If you pull out this unit, remove the rear panel, its located on the left side, mid way down.

Removing spark module viking gas cooktop

Usually any control knob will activate all four igniters it's usually a faulty pressure switch rather than the igniter pack module.

Viking 6 burner, gas stove top. When the back leftburner is turned on, it continually clicks. How can we fix this?

Hello,

The electrode (spark plug) for that burner is not telling the spark module the burner is lit and go ahead and turn off the spark. That electrode and the wiring on it need to be replaced, from that burner back to the spark module.

Viking vgic3054-b left side burners do not spark right side fine

no to your comment.if all the wires look ok & the module is sparking change the wire from one that is working to the faulty one if still not working it will be the spark electrode in the burner.

Viking Burners keep on clicking! Anoying!

The causes to the clicking is that the ignitors could be wet, dirty (with grease caked on them or cleaning products or a bad spark module). The ignitors are the little white things on the side of each burner with a metal piece on top. If they are wet (let them dry out for 20 - 30 min on a high flame, if dirty sand the metal piece on top with sand paper or nail file. And if it is the spark module and u are technical, order one from the parts department for Viking. You will need ur model and serial # then find out if it is located under the burners or the rear of the range. There are several wires going to the spark module. Best way is to disconnect one by one and connecting it to the new box until all wires are switched from old to new module. Remember to unplug the unit before doing this because you may get shocked. Also if it is a sealed burner system that means that the burner bowls cannot be lifted from the range and water cannot seap under the burners then you could just change all 4 or six burner bases. Viking has adapted them throughout the many complaints and they are better now. Typical cost is: $350 - $400 if spark module is under burners, in rear = $500 - $600. Burner bases = 400 - 600 depending on number of burners and if it is with a venturi or screws. Good luck.

LawnBoy Silver Series 6.5hp (manual start) self-propelled. Spark Plug does not have spark. Took plug out, clamped brake bar and held plug on engine for ground in plug boot. What can I do to get spark back?...

Disconnect small wire at ignition module. Then check for spark. If no spark, replace ignition module. If there is spark, then there is a short in the kill wire or engine control cable is not adjusted correctly.

Viking professional 30 inch, sparking problem

If you have replaced the spark module with the new, blue PA020041 Tytronics 0+4 spark module, the physical positions of the leads that go to the burner igniters are reversed compared to the positions on the old, white module. Make sure that the switch wire for the burner and the position of the spark wire both go to the same burner! The positions are marked on the white label with green lettering.

Viking Gas Cooktop - Ignition sparks continuously when in 'on' position

This is likely caused by either a dirty ignition electrode, a cracked ignition electrode, or a bad spark re-ignition module.

Clean and inspect the six electrodes for cracks, If that doesn't solve it order a new
Ignition module from an internet appliance dealer that carries Viking parts like Appliance Zone.

If you replace the Ignition module yourself, make sure to turn off the circuit breaker to the range/cooktop before you work on it. Also, make a drawing of where the different color leads are plugged into the ignition module before you unplug the wires and plug them into the new re-ignitor. If the unit is under one year, this should be covered under the warranty.
Viking had a recall a few years back on their ignitor modules.

Viking stove top gas burners

I have a VGR36 6 burner. All the spark ignitors stopped clicking after a major boilover spill. Liquid got into the spark module compartment and caused a short. The paper wiring diagram under the spark module protective cover was burned from the short. I had a Harper 6542 non-reignition spark module but the replacement part is now a Tytronics PA020041 Spark Module. I bought kit #000511-000 from allvikingparts.com which includes the module, a black jumper wire, a green ground wire and an instruction sheet.

It's not difficult to replace the spark module but the 2 screws holding down the module toward the back of the stove are not visable and accessible. I used a thumbwheel rachet with a long philips screw driver bit (for cordless drills) to remove and replace the screws. The wiring was simple. The 2 power wires need to be wired to the correct polarity on the module, but the remaining 4 ignition wires can be wired to any of the 4 terminals on the new module. All the wires have plug in connectors and no cutting and splicing is necessary, but I had to cut and splice because one wire shorted and the insulation was burned from the major spill on my stove.

Burners not lighting

I had the same issue and replaced the spark module myself, lots of wires and you have to make sure to label them before removal to be able to hook them back up correctly. To get to the module you need to unscrew all burners, no need to take the cover plate under the knobs. Burners remove by unscrewing center, brass nut. OEM spark module is VIKING RANGE #PA020021 U-67205-21. Go
