SOURCE: Mr. Slim msz-a17na won't turn on after power outtage

after a power outage, normally as power comes back in, it's a little bit high than normal.

with a dead set that you got, it would probably be the control transformer. the primary could have been burn by a spike voltage.( sudden rise in voltage above normal).

or im sure it has a fuse. check first the fuse. if the fuse is ok, then it would be the transformer.

The memory data of error code is erased when the power supply is cut off, or press the Auto Switch until "beep" sound heard following by pressing the "CHECK" button at remote controller.
Although operation forced to stop when abnormality detected, emergency operation is possible for certain errors (refer to Error Codes Table) by using remote controller or Auto Switch at indoor unit. However, the remote controller signal receiving sound is changed from one "beep" to four "beep" sounds.

Remote control signals not being received by Samsung air conditioner

Try a new set of batteries in the remote... If that doesnt work, look on the indoor unit , behind the filter screen or on the side for a "manual start or emergency start button or switch" If that works, it may be the remote is faulty. If not the remote, it will be the recveiver board on the indoor unit.

As you don't mention the error code. There are 2 reasons for your unit as hereunder.
Check your indoor room temp sensor and coil sensor
Indoor unit return air sensor fault. Disconnect sensor from PCB and measure resistance. 8 kOhm at 30C and 13 kOhm at 20C if not replace sensor.
Indoor Pipe Sensor or Outdoor Sensor Assy fault, Open or Short. Disconnect from PCB and measure resistance. Air sensor = 10 kOhm at 25C, Pipe sensor = 5
kOhm at 25C. If not replace sensor.

I have a Panasonic split air conditioner with remote but the remote doesn't seem to communicate with the air conditioner, how can i operate the temperature manually?

Heya,

If you open the flap where the filters are on the right there is a emergency button. If you push it once it will put it on cooling at 20degs and push it twice 22degs heating.

Now fault finding,
Get yourself a camera with a LCD screen. Point the LCD screen at the pointer of the remote (it will look like a glass buble). Push a button on the romte and you should be able to see a infa red light on the lcd screen. If you cant the remote is faulty. But if you can you need a new receiver board on your panasonic, contact your panasonic warrrenty department to get someone out to look at it.

Hope this helps, anything else please let me know

-Start the unit.
-Press EMERGENCY OPERATION switch.3-minute time delay works.Test run operation operates for 30 minutes.
-Check voltage to terminal block of outdoor unit.Is there 12V DC between 2-1?
-If voltage is presenet check the wiring, compressor contactor outdoor fan motor and compressor.
-If no voltage check voltage to terminal block of indoor unit.Is there 12V DC between 2-1?
-If if voltage is present re-connect the continuity of indoor and outdoor unit connection.
-If no voltage replace the indoor electronic control P.C.
board.
-But also check the coil thermistor sensor and room air thermistor if this two is out of range it can cause the tripping of out door unit. It has the resistance of 8 to 10 k ohms at 25 deg c temp.
