The air ducts are probably not blocked. When ice accumulates on the evaporator coil, the fan cannot blow air across it and distribute that air to the refrigerator and freezer sections. This would be caused by a failure in the defrost system.

I have an LG Refrigerator. GR-559FSDR 121T0063 Serial No. 102KRXD00130. It is giving an alarm like the door is open every few seconds. Both lights are off, when you open doors.

Check the freezer doors. Pull the tray out of the top drawer and see if there is ice build-up behind it causing it to not close all the way. I had to defrost my freezer to get rid of it. It also helped the ice fan from icing up stopping.

I have an LG ducted air conditioner and have an CH32 error. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks

CH-32 compressor discharge temperature too high. If over 105°C, check refrigerant charge.

Check and rectify the followings:
If over charged-release some gas./If less rpm of fan motor-replace capacitor./Condenser block-Clean it.

4 hp. lg ducted air starts then stops and screen shows 03 with check flashing can i find the problem please.

E-3.Outdoor unit temp high. Due to condenser block, less rpm of fan motor/ over charged gas/non condnesable gas.

Remedy: Clean condenser /replace capacitor/remove over charged gas/remove all gas and flush out the system and vamise and do gas charging.

LG DLE5977W Clothes Dryer takes forever to dry average loads of clothes. Authorized sevice tech recently cleaned air ducts and machine, but drying times per load takes hours. Any fixes to improve drying...

the most common problem is air flow restriction.make sure the machine is not pushed back to far and the ducting is getting kinked or blocked some how.when the machine is running go to the outside of your home and feel for the air blowing out of the dryer it should be pretty strong if it is not then there is a restrtion in the main line somewhere.and a leaf blower can be used on the inside of the house by sticking the tube in the vent hole and blowing it out but make sure that the outside part of the venting is clear so anything in the main line can come out.

Model DLE7177RM, takes about 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. Dryer is NOT overloaded.

Does the dryer heat up or is it just cool air drying the clothes ? If it does actually dry the clothes eventually then it sounds like it is heating up. First thing to check would be exhaust hose. Is warm air blowing out of it ? If warm you got heat. If cool then your heating element isn't working. It should be fairly strong current of very warm air. If weak but warm, then somewhere between lint filter and end of hose you have a blockage caused by lint buildup or hose is bent and blocking air flow. Check hose first. You can disassemble lint trap and go beyond the lint screen into metal duct within dryer and clean with a long brush and vacuum. You can also disconnect exhaust duct flexible hose at back of dryer and work through metal duct from that end too. If you notice increased air flow then it should solve problem,

Refrigerator not cooling.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, your described problem could be either:
  • evaporator fan/blower is faulty; or
  • air passgaeway blocked or vent is blocked or closed.
The refrigerator section gets its cold air from the freezer. If the freezer is working then the frozen air would have to be drawn to the refrigerator side by the fan. If the fan is not working or the air passage way is blocked, then no frozen air would be moving towards the refrigerator side. result would be as you described.

In some instances, it could be the thermostat of the refrigerator but this would be least likely.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
