You may use your memory stick option to print.I means you shall copy your pictures to a memory stick card. Insert in into the printer. And print directly without your MAC. I use Sony DPP-FP70. It works.
Try a hardware check of the printer first. To check the hardware of the printer, do the following:
Switch off the printer.
Load one sheet of paper into the paper feeder.
Press the Power button and the PaperFeed button at the same time and hold them both down for three seconds. Then release the Power button only.
When the printer begins to print, release the PaperFeed button. A page will be printed. The page should contain some text at the top and a series of horizontal color lines (cyan, magenta and yellow) below the text, with a thick black line below the colored lines. All the lines should be solid.
When the test is complete, switch off the printer. NOTE: If you do not switch off the printer, it will continue to print.
Check for and remove any grayscale settings. Use the following steps to check this setting.
In the program, click File and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
Select the correct product and then click Properties . The Properties dialog box opens.
Click the Color tab.
Check the Print in Grayscale setting. If necessary, unselect the setting.
Click OK to save the settings.
If this doesnot work:
Open the Printer Toolbox .
Open HP Solution Center .
Click Settings .
Click Print Settings .
Click Printer Toolbox .
Now Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab. This will tell u that the cartridge might be running out of ink even if the graphic shows that there is ink remaining in the cartridge.Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low on ink.
If this doesnot work:
If the Print in grayscale option is not the problem and the print cartridges are not low on ink, print and evaluate a self-test page to determine if the cartridges or printer is causing the problem.
Load the input tray with unused plain white paper.
Press and hold the Cancel button and then press the Start Copy Color button.
