I bought 3 urberhaus 4/6 L dual flush one piece high efficiency toilet HET 1.28 gpf item # L1315E346 PO # VC7023 1309 2811934 SKU#70235002. 2 are working fine except one which after flush, the water will keep on going for a long time but not filling up the tank. The water level is rising very very slow. It takes about 5 minutes to fill up the bowl while the other two only takes 1/2 minute. To fill up the bowl faster, I have to remove the small plastic pipe where the water was running out and let the water fill up the tank. Please advise how to fix this problem. Many thanks M. Wong

SOURCE: American Standard Elongated toilet bowl water level slowly drops

The tank holding the proper amount of water is a good sign. The inside of the stool is like the GOOSE NECK under you sink. It always holds water. This may sound like a bit of a hassle to do but if all 3 toilets are identical, here is what you can try if you are a bit handy. Go to the hardware store and purchase 4 toilet wax rings with a plastic flange and a few sets of toilet floor flange bolts(they are cheap and you can always return if not used, as It is better to have xtra parts on hand). Turn off the water supply to the "Mystery Toilet". Leave the tank and everything connected to the stool. Flush the toilet and remove all excess water from the tank and bowl. This can be done with a shop vac, sponge or towel. Disconnect the water supply to the tank. Remove the bolts holding the stool to the floor and carefully remove toilet. Scrap off all the old wax from the floor flange and bottom of stool. Now go and repeat this proceedure to one of the toilets that is working properly. In other words Switch the "Mystery Toilet" with a "Working Toilet" and see how they react. If the working toilet does it in the same bathroom and the "Mystery Toilet" does not do it in the other bathroom then you probably have a VENTING PROBLEM. If the "Mysery Toilet" Does it in the other bathroom then you most likely have a Defective Toilet. This Job is best done by 2 people, as it can sometimes be challenging to center the new wax ring on the toilet flange. Reconnect to the floor and reconnect water supply to the tanks. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BOLTS to the floor flange as you may crack the toilet. All drain lines must be vented properly for water to flow. If you are curious check out drain venting on the internet. Also, sometimes a vent can become obstructed with debris, ice, bird nest, etc.. I would 1st check the vent on the roof visually and then have someone flush and listen. If you believe the vent is clear....Then do the toilet switch and go from there.....Hope this helps and Happy Holidays....Joe

The flapper may be closing before the tank is dumped completely. You can verify this by observing flushing action with the tank open.

Which toilet is best?

I replaced the 2nd floor toilet in my house several years ago. It has all the features you require, except the 17" tank width. If you can fit a 20" tank ( actually 19 3/4") then the brand to buy is Toto. The quality is unsurpassed.

The (included) *seat* height is 16 1/8". GPF is 1.6, but the flush is amazingly powerful. I opted for the special self cleaning coating they call "Sana Gloss". Nothing sticks to it, it doesn't stain, and I've never had to use a toilet brush nor bowl cleaner on it the whole time I've owned it.

I bought mine from an online distributor. Just Google "Toto". I haven't checked recently, but they may have a narrow tank model. Mine has the extended bowl.

You probably have excessive buildup on the pipe walls that have restricted the flow to the point of needing that second flush - or somebody flushed a plastic bag there and now it is acting like a flapper. This will also be evidenced by occasional flooding at that commode. There's only 2 solutions as I se4e it.; scrape the pipe walls ( rooter with a scraping head ) or replace the pipe for the build up, or rooter out the pipe to try to extract that blasted bag.
Good luck!!

Wiith all due respect, the Drake toilet is not a regular toilet and doesn't sound the same as a regular toilet when you flush it. It is in the design that allows it use only 1.5 gpf instead of 3.5 gpf. A rather unique thing is that while it is scientifically calibrated to release 1.5 gpf, it does not empty the tank of approximately 1 gallon of water. Therefore if one feels the need for a little extra umph, simply hold down the flush lever when you flush until the tank is emptied.

Don't know if you have calcium build up problems. If you do you could pour a calcium cleaner into the tank to try and clear up the problem. This would be the only way to possibly clean the enclosed area. Good Luck. Jeff

Try checking the water pressure. If it has dropped too low then the valve will never re-seat properly. Ideally over 90 psi.
