Well verify, a few things:
1) power supply
3) dimension of your ATX tower case
4) select a HDMI video card GE force 7 or above that came with HDMI specs.
you will be ok!

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I doubt you will find a non compaq mother board that fits the case.
It might be easier to get a new case and motherboard and then move all other parts to the new case.
I checked the specs online, the system was designed in 2005. The system RAM and CPU will limit you performance.
You might want to try tiger.com or a similar type of supplier. They may be able to find a replacement that fits.

This particular model of the system is basic home use system not built for games.
You can put in either a PCI graphics card or an AGP 4x graphics card that should not take more than 1.5v of power.
The max you can put is 128 MB , you can try the 256 MB, but i would suggest against it .
Thanks for using fIxya

Testimonial: "This is useful info about the memory capacity to work properly. Thank you so much!"
SOURCE: sound problem
This is fairly common after installing new hardware or software.
There are several easy fixes, but the one that works best is to:
Uninstall your Sound devices, reboot, and your system will automatically reload them either from your System drivers or from the Internet/Microsoft.
There are many other simple ways, but this has the highest positive results and usually removes problems and reverts back to the working defaults.

Try changing the VGA cable or the other cable you are using.......
If that does not resolve your problem and that the monitor is good it means that your desktop's graphic card is damaged.....
Try replacing the graphic card or if it is an internal one..... add one in your agp or pcie slot
