SOURCE: outdoor device won't register inside.

All these wireless weather station devices have to be paired to the base unit whenever the batteries are changed in any of the remotes. It's a poor design issue, but there is no way around it, due to the nature of wireless operation.

Place both units near each other and look on the back of your base and remote sensor units, you should find a reset button (or a small hole). Either press the button or use the end of a paper clip to depress and hold the reset on each unit; Base 1st, then the remote 2nd.

After a brief moment, the remote should register with the base and you'll be back getting wireless readings.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

SOURCE: Sharp Weather Station Model SPC344 The outside

After inserting the batteries, DO NOT set the time until the OUTSIDE temperature registers. That's the trick.

I've put the batteries into both stations and still am only getting my room temp nothing else.Do I need to install the one outside before I'll get a reading of the outside temp?

first you must make sure the station inside and the station outside are on the same Channel. then look for the reset button on both the one outside is probably in the battery house as well as the station selector switch. after resetting both they should be able to talk to each other again.

I have inherited a IT-915 MHz wireless temp. station--the batteries in outside sensor were taken out but still in box-can i put them back in at this time to reset the sensor and how to set them ?

You shoud use new batteries because you dont know how old the ones that are present are. You should also use lithium battteries in the weather station sensors because they last longer and have better low temp response. The batteries should have marks on them that correspond with the marks inside the sensors.

We do not run our a/c unit during the day so in the evening I turn it on and it seems like it takes forever for the inside of the house to cool down. This is an older model carrier and was in the home when...

Take a look at the condensor outside. With the unit running even on a cool day, the condensor fan (outside) should be blowing hot air. The air temp coming out of the register should be 20 degrees cooler yhan the coils in the house.. This is a reverse way to chk the evaporator temp for proper cooling. Now, the wire could be a problem if it is coming from the thermostat. Take notice of the outside unit is being controlled by the thermostat by having someone go from off to cool on the T-stst. If everything is working but the discharge air is warm your unit may need a charge. If I haven't confused both of us, I'll watch for you reply -Ned

Try removing the batteries from both the outdoor sensor and the indoor unit. I had the same problem and fixed it by doing this.

My new storm tracker STX7500 weathertech does not display the outside temperature

Take out the batteries in the main station for at least 5 min. Also, check the batteries on your outside station and make sure that they are new and the same brand, not rechargeables. Make sure that the outside station is reading a temperature and humidity first. Make sure that the outside gauge is close enough to your inside station. Having your inside station to near electrical or metal things or the outside station too far from the inside station is the most likely of your problems. To test this, once you've restarted your inside station, bring it close to the outside station and see if it's reading. Also, check the bottom right to see if your inside station has an antenna icon. If so, it's just updating from the radio station that updates your station often. Wait for that antenna to disappear from the bottom screen before trying to figure if your outside station is reading correctly. Finally, make sure that you have the right time zone, state, and city programmed into your inside station. If none of these work, call or e-mail the link in your book. Hope this works.
