Question about Boating
When I running around 4500 to 5000rpms for 5 or 10 minutes the motor (Yamaha TACH) will go off. The low or no oil symbol will go off. As I pull the throttle back to neutral the alarm goes off. The water stream comes out normal. I can ride for 10 or 15 minutes from 5-20mph then the alarm goes off. Sometimes it will go 20 minutes without the alarm doing anything. Any suggestions today I put a new water pump (Impella) on the unit could this help or is it sometime in the tach or oil pump??? thanks help I want to fish thanks
Good Afternoon BayouNola,
This Sounds Like A Loose Connection Problem,
The Tach Is Directly Related To The Charging System,Please Check Your Battery Terminals ,Clean And Secure Tightly To The Battery,
Unplug The engine Electrical Harness Check Clean And Re plug,
Check The Main Fuse For Corrosion And Rectify If Necessary,
If The Engine Was Getting Hot The Alarm Should Be A Continuous Alarm, If It Is a Intermittent Alarm It Is Oil Related !
If In Any Doubt Run With Pre Mixed Fuel,( 500 Ml's In 25 Ltr's Fuel) Until The Problem Is Solved.
Good Luck Gordon
