SOURCE: Where is the fuse on the robokleen above ground

We have had our for about 5 years with no problems til now. Our cord broke on the inside, meaning the wire inside broke from taking it out of the pool by the cord. I just opened it up, cut the wires, put heat shrink on the cord, butt spliced back together and placed heat shrink over the splice. Also there is a fuse and it is located inside the power box. Unplug unit remove screws from back and fuse will be right there, 1.6 amp I think.

My robokleen won't **** anything up, impeller not plugged or stuck, just not turning, moves just fine

i thought the problem was the grease also until i seen another sales web page decription, it said NO OIL TO LEAK OUT, so i opened it up again after it shut off every day for 10 minutes of use , but still rolled
i seen the circuit board inside the air tight pump, somehow some water must have mixed with the greased part and i dried it with a cloth put it back together and it ran for about 20 minutes, then stopped, i tightend the screws as much as i could without harming the thread holes, if you break them your out of luck, did not see any seal but im sure the factory put something to keep it water proof

Hi! My RoboKleen is running and moving, but not vacuuming. Do I need to check the impeller? If so, how do I do that? My manual doesn't have a parts diagram. Jane

I would check the impeller for obstructions. To check it, remove the top grill off by removing the 2 screws from the top. Make sure the transformer is unplugged first. You should see the impeller when you remove the grill. Remove any debris and just put the pool cleaners grill back into place and rescrew. I would also empty your debris bag. It could be filled and causing a lack of suction. Check for debris in the cleaners throat.

Robokleen is now making very short back and forth motions not covering the entire pool as it did when first purchased

First, check the impeller for obstructions. Occasionally hair or linen may get caught in the impeller. With the transformer off, take the top grill off by removing the 2 screws from the top. If you see any debris caught, remove it and replace the grill and screws. Also, check the pool cleaners axle bearings and wheels for leaves or other debris that could be causing the wheels to catch. If you can solve the problem with either of these, you will probably have to have the cleaner services because it is going to be a mechanical issue and you will void your warranty if you open the electrical components of the cleaner.

My G4 unit keeps coming apart in the pool

What particular parts of the cleaner are coming apart? If your flapper is coming off, you will probably need to replace it. I would need to a more specific description to accurately help. I can give you a copy of the users manual for these pool cleaners. You might be able to find a solution there. Hope this helps.

My robokleen vac runs for a few minutes then just stops. I checked the wheels nothing is stuck in there. Any suggestions?

With these pool cleaners, there are several things that you should check. Make sure that your filter bag is not full and does not have any large debris that would hinder movement. Make sure that your impeller is not jammed or broken and check the entire drive system for objects that might have become lodged.

Where is the fuse on the robokleen above ground pool cleaner? We've only had ours for 1 year and it stopped working. It doesn't come on at all. At first it would come on and just move back and forth in the...

There is an online manuel at this address http://74.84.137.218/website/manuals/RK01A.pdf
There is a circuit board that needs to be reset and the manuel discribes how to do this process. Make sure you are using a ground fault outlet to plug into. If there is a fuse, but I don't think there is it would be inline on the power cord. Also check the Breaker box to make sure there is power to the recepticle.

Robokleen stays in same spot going back and forth about four feet wont go around pool it was stuck the other day on a pool toy and couldnt get off of it we didnt know about it til we pulled it out later...

With these automatic pool cleaners, a jammed impeller can cause it to not work. Since the cleaner was caught on a pool toy, my guess is that it has some fabric/material jammed in the impeller and that is causing your problems. Open it up and check your impeller. I am sure that you will find it jammed.

My automatic robokleener will move for a few seconds and then stop what could this be?

Check your impeller. Often on these automatic pool cleaners, the impeller can become jammed and make movement impossible. Also, check your front and rear axles to make sure that you don't have any obstructions there.

My robokleen is going back and forth what is wrong?

I would first check the wheels and axles bearings for hair, leaves, lint, or other debris that might be causing your pool cleaners wheels to have restricted movement. You might also want to try removing the limit screw on the wheels to see if that helps. Also, make sure that the impeller is not jammed. Remove the grill cover, check the impeller, and replace the cover. It could also be an electrical issue also. If this is the case, do not attempt to repair it. Go to SmartPool's website and find a repair service in your area.
