My old thermostat connected with a yellow and a black wire. where do i connect them

Well you need to trace these wire back to the furnace, most of the time there are a red and white wire that runs the thermostat. Usually red is hot and the white is after the (switch)/ thermostat. This is only an assumption and I would guess that they used the black in place of the red and yellow in place of the white. So to answer your question I would put the black on the (R) terminal and the yellow on the (W) terminal. Please check at your furnace and verify what I have assumed. After all we should never assume anything.

From the Isolator panel, how do I connect the condenser, and the blower?

MOST UNITS NOT HEAT PUMPS  WIRE UP WITH 2 WIRES TO CONDENSER RED WIRE AND WHITE . WHITE GOES TO COMMON C ON FURNACE AND RED TO Y TERMINAL OF FURNACE Y ALSO GOES TO Y ON TSTAT. BOTH YELLOW WIRES MUST MEET AT Y OF FURNACE.  WHITE FROM STAT TO W   GREEN FROM TSTAT TO G AT FURNACE IF YOU HAVE C ON TSTAT HOOK UP BROWN WIRE OR BLUE FROM COMMON TERMINAL WHERE YOU HOOKED UP CONDENSER WHITE WIRE AT FURNACE TO TSTAT , MOST THERMOSTATS DONT NEED C RUN FROM FURNACE. THE TWO WIRES GOING TO CONDENSER IS -  AND + TO ACTAVATE CONTACTOR IN OUTSIDE UNIT

Hi Proper way on wiring furnace.

I can give you a start, For heat only, R terminal on furnace to Red wire to R or RH terminal on thermostat. W terminal to White wire to W terminal on thermostat. G terminal to Green wire to G terminal on thermostat. This will get you heat but not air conditioning.

I am tying to install an RTH6400 5 in 1 thermostat but the colors of wires i have on my wall are RED, GREEN, BLUE AND BLACK, where as the book has RED , YELLOW,WHITE AND BLUE. please which do i connect to...

You need to open up the panel at your furnace(air handler) and find the terminal strip and see what your existing thermostat wires are connected to. Normally your red wire connects to the R terminal(24 volts), the yellow wire to the Y1 terminal(cooling), the white wire to the W1 terminal(heating), the green wire to the G terminal(indoor fan). You can use whatever color of wire you have existing, just make sure that the R,W1,Y1,and G wires at the furnace match the R,W1,Y1, and G terminal screws at the thermostat. Also make sure the power to the furnace(air handler) is turned off before you make any wiring connections at the thermostat or furnace. This is very important! If you don't and you short any wires to ground(especially the R wire) you will possibly ruin the system step down transformer or blow the low voltage fuse.

Manual Thermostat replcaement with Programmable Digital unit.

Hopefully there are markings on the old t-stat as to what terminal is what.
on the honeywell 8000 use the heat pump labeling and then the standard wiring would be
R- red
AUX-white
Y- yellow
B- O/B
C- black
G- green
There should not be a bare wire, it probably just has the insulation stripped back way too far.
You should probably open the furnace and compare the terminal label in the furnace to the wire color. normally yellow and blue pass through the furnace and are wire nutted to wires going to the outdoor unit. In the furnace the white wire will connect to the w or w1 terminal. also, you will need to set the Honeywell stat to have the following parameters.
170-7
190-1
200-0
other parameters that I did not specify, you may read the manual and make your own decision but I recommend factory settings for the other parameters

Carrier Infinity Control Thermostat SYSTXCCUID01-B

Your old stat is wired for a traditional thermostat and not a communication stat like the new infinity you have. There is a module plug on the furnace board that will need to be connected to the new thermostat for it to work. The wires that are wired now are from a terminal strip inside the furnace. Please contact your local Carrier dealer. They may be able to get that harness for you
