How to write explanatory notes?

Instructions
    • 1 Insert a superscript Arabic number at the end of the sentence which involves the explanatory note. This superscript number should fall just after the final punctuation of the sentence. This number corresponds to the footnote or endnote of your paper.
    • 2 Create a corresponding explanatory note number following the guidelines for endnotes or footnotes. Endnotes appear at the end of the written work under the heading "Notes". Footnotes fall at the bottom of the page in which the information is utilized.
    • 3 Write an explanatory note that remains simple and to the point. This note should only be about two sentences long and offer the reader a quick reference for further information. An explanatory note often offers further readings or brings up the arguments of another author. Only discuss information that is absolutely relevant or useful. For example: "Further work has been done on issues of ageism in John Smith's painstaking volumes on the hospice system."

Macintosh error codes

This happens with Word 2008/2011. After EndNote Web plug-in installation, when trying to use the CWYW toolbar in Word, you will see EndNote toolbar instead of EndNote Web toolbar. When you try accessing this toolbar you will be prompted with this error message,
Cannot find a copy of EndNote to launch. Error code is 10814
This can be resolved by switching the tools to EndNote Web. To do this in Word 2008/2011.
1. Open Word.
2. Go to the "Tools" menu, choose "EndNote" and select "Cite While You Write Preferences."
3. Here, go to the "Applications" tab.
4. Select EndNote Web. Enter the Registered username and password for EndNote web.
5. Click OK.
Then restart Word and try using the tools again.

How to setup arabic in my xp wethout re instil new xp

You can follow the instructions here to get your language settings: http://www.endnote.com/support/helpdocs/Changing%20Regional%20Settings%20in%20Windows%20XP.pdf
If you're looking for a system wide change, it is not possible with a preloaded English copy. You will have to get the copy with Arabic preloaded with XP.
If you upgrade to Windows 7, you are able to change languages back and forth without issues.

Can't get MS Word 2002 to restart numbered endnotes by section

One way to do this is to go to the end of every chapter and insert a section break, continuous. Then go into your Insert footnote/endnote, click Options and tell it to start renumbering after every section (place your endnotes at the end of each section or at the end of the document, either way works). You will have to confirm this for the first few chapters to make sure it is still doing it, but it should with no problems (I just did it and it was fine.)
