Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290
Blackberry rim does not receive my sim card, it was offered to me by a friend frome us with password lock,and i unlocked it with ten wrong trials,but does not accept my MTN SIM CARD,it says sim card invalid

This seems to be the multimillion dollar question for Blackberrys and here is how this works.
There is no "magical"code for all BB's
Each Blackberry is item specific based on your IMEI which is located on the inside of your battery compartment.
Your best bet is to go to eBay or similiar and find your blackberry and look for the cheapest unlocking program. AT that point you will be able open your Blackberry.

I think your phone still locked for cingular provider and you must unlock it before you can use your t-mobile sim card. To unlock blackberry 7290 network from cingular you will need a blackberry unlock code. This code can be obtained from cingular or purchased at third party sites for lower cost.

There is no such calculator software even somebody have it he will not share it with you. One more thing that you should know, free blackberry 7290 unlock code is not reliable and have higher chance to make your phone hardlocked. So be a wise and try to purchase reliable blackberry unlock code at third party sites rather than screw up your phone.

It's normal since your phone still locked for particular network. To unlock blackberry 7290 network you will be need a blackberry unlock code and you can obtained that code from your network provider or purchased at third parties sites.

It's a clear and fully detailed guide on how to unlock a BlackBerry 8100:
1. Insert any sim card
2. Turn off all of the wireless connections
3. Go to Options
4. Select Advanced Options
5. Select SIM Card
6. Hit menu select show keyboard (if your BlackBerry have touchscreen)
7. Type MEPD ( you will not be able to see what you are typing )
8. Type MEP2 ( you will not be able to see what you are typing )
9. Now the phone will prompt you to enter network mep code
10. if you not already have the code, then i suggest BlackBerryMEP.COM to get it from .
11. Enter the code ( you should see "code accepted" )
12. Restart your BlackBerry .
