Question about Roper RTW4300SQ Top Load Washer
Sounds like you have a lid switch issue. take flat head screwdriver and stick it down where the lid would actuate the lid switch. If the machine agitates then its a lid switch. You only have two screws to remove the switch and you can clip the two wires going into the switch. Wire nut in a new switch you could you a 3946509 i believe the part number is. Instead of removing the panel you can just cut the two wires and wire nut the new one in its place> MUCH easier.
The only other issue which is far less common is a bad motor harness which you can usually jiggle around and make it work but thats 1/100.
