Since you have already done the restart and there are no error messages showing that the system disk is bad, it may be a short or incompatibility in one of your usb plugs. Remove all plugs except for keyboard and mouse and then restart. Also make sure it is not trying to boot off a CD or DVD by removing those as well.

Get error message "004-321 Restart printer" Have tried everything.

this is a 'reseat drum' message. If you do that and make sure all is clean then restart it should be fine.

Error 1201, lexmark x7170

This error can be removed by basic troubleshooting steps. You'll need to turn off the printer and unplug it. After unplugging wait for atleast 2 mins before plugging it back again.

Now restart and check whether the error is still there or not. If its still there then check for the printer cartridges, remove them from carriage and put them back again.

Now restart it again as mentioned above.

Computer says it is busy when I try and print out a page, just installed new black ink cartridge and it won't try and print anything now.

1. Check to make sure the black ink cartridge is installed properly.
2. Check to be sure no printer alignment program is trying to run.
3. Right click the printer icon on the tool bar and see if any print jobs are still lingering. Cancel them or Restart them. Printer should pickup and start working from there.
Last resort:
4. Shut down the computer and unplug the printer for at least 1-2 min.
Restart everything paying close attention to any error messages.
If none, the printer should work again provided nothing serious has happened.

Hope this helps!

Printer error message 004-321 restart printer took out toner compartment and put back in and it stil doesn't work any other ideas?

remove the drum. turn the printer off and on. when it asks for the drum, install it. if that does not help, call support (1-877-459-7298) and they will probably replace the drum.

The new magenta cartridge you put in is bad. If you put the old one back in then you get the low toner message. Take the new cartridge back and get another new one.  I found the answer on the dell troubleshoot website

Dell 3100CN Error Message

I am a publisher here in Seattle printing full color books with this machine and I have just gotten the same message- Does anyone have a solution- I have Googled and checked everything... Now, this happened to me a few months ago and I pulled out the drum and sprayed it with air, replaced it and it worked fine for about two months- now I get the error again- does this help in the problem solving?
