The "configuration" number is your printer part number. S4M00-2001-0100T means that you have a 203 DPI (dots per inch) printer that is Thermal Transfer as opposed to Direct Thermal. There are at least a couple dozen individual SM4 part numbers. If your printer was a 300 DPI printer, the center section would begin with 300.

The configuration code you posted uses ZPL II or XML

Have a good one!

Try looking at the bottom of the printer, it should have the detailed model in there

Is there a way to change the setting on the Zebra S4M to rotate the print 180 degrees to match our labels?

No. The change must be made in the software that you are creating the label design in. Let me know if this helps!

Hi I am unable to print from Zebra S4M.. while printing the configuration it prints but does not print the test page or the label.

There a number of things that can cause that: 1) wrong printer driver was installed 2) cable to printer is faulty 3) wrong port was selected when the printer driver was installed
Check these and let me know!

Do you know the print speed that you are using? I would slow it down to about 7 ips and adjust the Darkness until you are happy. Some companies want all this speed and the machine cannot do a good job at high speeds (10 ips). If you are not able to over-ride their speed, call them. It will increase your print quality a great deal.
The print speed is the second setting on the menu. Don't forget to save the settings when you are finished (use "Permanent"). Good luck!

S4M doesn´t print

The S4M comes with either EPL or ZPL programming language installed. (installed at factory) The S600 is a ZPL only printer. Check that you have correctly specified the S4M as a ZPL printer. Print a config label to check. If it is set as an EPL printer contact your supplier and ask him to download the correct programming language. It should only take a competent engineer about ten minutes (If he knows what he is doing)

Printing every third labels ---> not evry

You need to take the labels out.

If you are using the labels that have perforations is where you can tear them off.

What you need to do is to

1) Switch off printer
2) ensure that the ribbon is loaded correctly
3) take some labels, feed them through the mechanism till you can see them coming out from the other end.
4) Make sure that the labels are lined up with the alignment mark or sometimes with label printers there is a light.
5)switch on printer and do a test print
