The "configuration" number is your printer part number. S4M00-2001-0100T means that you have a 203 DPI (dots per inch) printer that is Thermal Transfer as opposed to Direct Thermal. There are at least a couple dozen individual SM4 part numbers. If your printer was a 300 DPI printer, the center section would begin with 300.

The configuration code you posted uses ZPL II or XML

Have a good one!

Try looking at the bottom of the printer, it should have the detailed model in there

Hi I am unable to print from Zebra S4M.. while printing the configuration it prints but does not print the test page or the label.

There a number of things that can cause that: 1) wrong printer driver was installed 2) cable to printer is faulty 3) wrong port was selected when the printer driver was installed
Check these and let me know!

the language from your printers is EPL and the zebra S4m come from factory with ZPL language program, you need to install diferent firmware to the printer,

"...This firmware release includes all features of the previous V4.49 release. It is for use with

the following EPL printer models:
• TLP 2746e..."
Special Firmware Version Size E53.17.3 3 MB
http://www.zebra.com/id/products/global/en/firmware/barcode/e53_17_3.NotesFile1.File.tmp/14328L-006.pdf
download the firmware, go to the driver and "send file" and send the file *.zpl to the printer.

Zebra S4M (S4M00)models keeps losing config

Your solution provided absolutely no help. All I needed was a manual for the printer so I could order a part. Sending me to a site so I could order supplies for the printer is not my idea of providing a quality solutions nor is offering me a "Premium Assistance Plan" of any value either. I would suggest that if you are not going to try and resolve the issue on the first go around that you simply tell the person you can't help them.

S4M doesn´t print

The S4M comes with either EPL or ZPL programming language installed. (installed at factory) The S600 is a ZPL only printer. Check that you have correctly specified the S4M as a ZPL printer. Print a config label to check. If it is set as an EPL printer contact your supplier and ask him to download the correct programming language. It should only take a competent engineer about ten minutes (If he knows what he is doing)

Printing every third labels ---> not evry

You need to take the labels out.

If you are using the labels that have perforations is where you can tear them off.

What you need to do is to

1) Switch off printer
2) ensure that the ribbon is loaded correctly
3) take some labels, feed them through the mechanism till you can see them coming out from the other end.
4) Make sure that the labels are lined up with the alignment mark or sometimes with label printers there is a light.
5)switch on printer and do a test print
