Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
I can move the stainless steel drum easily
Do you mean up and down? or when you turn the drum like you are spinning it?if it makes a sound like an airplane takeing off or a train rolling through your house. you have a bad bearing which is a very exspensive repair.

You may also have an article of clothing stuck between the two drums. You will have to reach your hand in between the two and feel around to see if something is stuck. I found this solution on another site after my washing machine also was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle, which was also accompanied by water spewing out of the dispenser drawer based on where the article of clothing was stuck. Good luck!

Stainless steel does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as
ordinary steel (it stains less), but it is not stain-proof. There are different
grades and surface finishes of stainless steel to suit the environment to which
the material will be subjected in its lifetime. Stainless steel is 100%
recyclable and is available in different forms, a stainless steel often used in
knives pots and kitchen accessories.
