Vdr-310 always showing a mesagge INTERNAL TEMPERATURE TOO HIGH...

On my panasonic vdr-310 always showing a message 'internal temperature too high.... and im already try to turn off the power. but the message still appear.

SOURCE: Cannot finalize disc

I discovered a solution to the finalizing issue and perhaps it is the same for you. It turns out the disc I have (I think that came with the camera) is a DVD-RAM and these do not need to be finalized. I just went straight to the DVD Movie Album downloaded from the set up disc and it downloaded. Hope that helps.

you cant put the information on with the ac adapter which is behind the battery with 7.9v so u will need ur ac adpater while u are loading or it will not connect and thats what usb mode means. if you dont understand atleast phone the panasonic helpline because they have just helped me.

Temp guage not working 1999 alero


One advantage us dealer tech's have over a week end warrior is that we have factory service repair information and have factory scan tool ,Tech 2 , to check data coming into the instrument cluster . Most of you probably don't even think about how that coolant temp infor shows up on the gauge , except by a coolant sensor !

High Temperature Indicator
The high temperature Indicator function handles the control of the Engine Temperature Gauge Display and the red High Temperature indicator. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) reads the Coolant Temperature Sensor, filters the messages, and sends the coolant temperature to the instrument cluster via a Class 2 serial data message. The PCM monitors the coolant sensor in order to determine a fault. The PCM transmits the Class 2 serial data coolant temperature report messages to the instrument cluster for the temperature gauge display and for the high temperature indicator control.
The instrument cluster receives the engine temperature data in the Class 2 serial data message from the PCM. The instrument cluster converts this data into a temperature gauge pointer position which drives the gauge pointer. The instrument cluster also uses this data in order to determine the high temperature indicator control.
The Body Control Module (BCM) looks for the high temperature indicator Class 2 serial data report from the instrument cluster and triggers a chime when the indicator is ON.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop , rather then just replacing parts .

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor OPERATION The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is mounted in the intake manifold and sends engine temperature information to the ECM. The ECM supplies 5 volts to the coolant temperature sensor circuit. The sensor is a thermistor which changes internal resistance as temperature changes. When the sensor is cold (internal resistance high), the ECM monitors a high signal voltage which it interprets as a cold engine. As the sensor warms (internal resistance low), the ECM monitors a low signal voltage which it interprets as warm engine.

Keep failing emissions test due to high no levels. I have replaced the oxygen sensor and do not know what could be causing this problem.


NOX is created when the engine's internal combustion temperature gets to high.In addition to maintaining proper coolant levels.The egr system may be malfunctioning.The egr valve uses spent exhaust gases to line the cylinders walls reducing internal combustion temperature and reducing the amount of NOX produced.

NOX is created when the internal combustion temperature gets to high.The egr system uses burnt exhaust gases to line to cylinder walls.The purpose of this is decrease internal combustion temperature therefore reducing the amount of NOX created.Would look to a possible egr malfunction usually they will trigger the check engine light but not always.The 4.3L has been known to have issues with carbon buil up in the egr and the egr pintle not open and closing properly.

Internal Temperature too high to shoot.


This is obviously a problem with the internal parts of the camera. There are too many things it could be to give a definitive answer, and it would be too complicated for an amateur. If you take it into a local camera shop they should be able to run diagnostics on it and replace the problem.

The sensor is a thermistor which changes internal resistance as temperature changes. When the sensor is cold (internal resistance high), the ECM monitors a high signal voltage which it interprets as a cold engine. As the sensor warms (internal resistance low), the ECM monitors a low signal voltage which it interprets as warm engine.

See Figures 3 and 4
  1. Remove the ECT sensor from the vehicle.
  2. Immerse the tip of the sensor in container of water.
  3. Connect a digital ohmmeter to the two terminals of the sensor.
  4. Using a calibrated thermometer, compare the resistance of the sensor to the temperature of the water. Refer to the engine coolant sensor temperature vs. resistance illustration.
  5. Repeat the test at two other temperature points, heating or cooling the water as necessary.
  6. If the sensor does not meet specification, it must be replaced.
