The power jack on the motherboard has disconnected and need to be reattached. Is there a user manual covering this problem?

The problem was not with a printer. The problem is with a Compaq presario laptop 2500.

Would this be regarding the mothering within the printer or within your computer? In either way, please let me know the make and model of the printer or computer.

Appologies for the typo, I was supposed to say motherboard instead of mothering.

According to the service manual, it looks like the AC power jack has been soldered to the motherboard. You'll need to remove the motherboard and power jack, and install a new AC Power Plug. This is not a simple task. The solder will need to adhere to the right connections on the motherboard. The traces on the motherboard are very thin, and if you accidentally melt one it would probably damage the motherboard.

As requested, there are two service manuals available for this item here and here.

    Best regards

Computer will not power on regardless of being plugged in or not, and overheats within just a few minutes

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Overheating can be caused by faulty memory or a faulty motherboard. Disconnect power, remove the battery and remove the memory cover. Remove all memory modules and insert one at a time to test. For motherboard issues, you'll need a local professional to resolve.

Hope this helps.

The Yellow Port That's In The Inside Where You Plug The Charger in has Broken And Is Very loose And I can reattach It. When I Plug The Charger In The Battery Wont Charge The Whole Thing Wont Come on...

The DC jack, where you plug the power adapter cable, might be loose or defective, & needs to be either re-soldered or replaced.
In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard taken out. Also, the motherboard needs to be checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.

How to replace D620 power jack? pwer jack is "loose" causing intermittent connection with power supply. the problem is "not" power cord.

The power jack is located on the motherboard. It is soldered to it. You have to remove the screws behind the laptop securing the back cover and disconnect the hard drive and GPU cables remove the keyboard so that you can pull out the motherboard. This is necessary since the solder joints are located under the motherboard and the jack is over it. There are 3 pins that are soldered. Remove the solder on all 3 and pull out the jack. Insert the pins of the new jack in the space vacated by the old pins and use a low diameter solder(2mm or less if available and lead free solder only) to solder the pins to the board and voila!
