SOURCE: I am running Windows XP Professional operating

Your monitor's native resolution is 1920 x 1080, as you can see for the official specifications. This means that the best off the quality and the clearest screen will be when you set the screen resolution for the windows XP at 1920X1080 (right click on an empty area on your screen - click on properties - click on the settings tab - set the resolution slider at 1920X1080 - hit apply - accept the change - hit ok) In case you can't the resolution rate at this setting, sorry to said but your VGA subsystem is not capable to give the right signal at the monitor, so you have to think of an update. In case your desktop's icons are too small you can change the size with this simple tip: right click on an empty area on your screen - click on properties - click on the appearance tab - at the lower of the window change the font size to large or very large - hit apply - hit ok.

SOURCE: How do I open a samsung syncmaster 920nw to get to

You lift up the front bezel, just go around the bezel but do not completely remove it, just on three side, then lay it face down and snap up the back cover. Be real careful with the cable attached to the front bezel.

On my syncmasterp2270 I plug in that white power cord thing into the hard drive and it still won't turn on. I saw it up and running in the shop yesterday so I know I'm defs doin something wrong?

You have to plug in two cords. One you plug into the power outlet/power bar and the other you plug into your computer.

You might also have to actually press the power button on the monitor to get it to turn on. Some power on right away when you plug them in, others do not!

Hi, my syncmaster p2270 seems to have some kind of focus issue. Everything is sharp, but to the right of the visuals on screen there is a duplicate, reflection of whatever is being displated on screen....

Hi Jonhy, on the pc , try this steps:
1. At the mainscreen mouse rigth click and go to Properties
2. Go to Definitions and Advanced
3. A window with graphic board's properties will come up and the choose 3D setup/config (depending on graphic board mark)
4. Change from Direct 3D to OpenGL and then Apply and OK to close.

This procedure is to change from hardware aceleration to software aceleration of image on screen. As that it will be sent only one kind of image definition from the pc to the screen with no repeating or mirrowed data. Hope it will helps you.

Hello,

Your power supply board is not yet dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Monitor is loseing its picture.

Open up your monitor and open your power supply. Check for any bad capacitors. And replace them with the same or bigger number. If everything inside the power supply looks good then its probably the back light going bad.. Its probably best to buy a new one in that case.,.

How much is the power supply of samsung syncmaster 940nw

It depends, you need to open it up abd get the number as printed on the board since it may have more than one version or maker of the power supply/inverter board. The problem can be as simple as failed capacitors, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
I estimate the bd to be from $60 and up if you can get used one from EBAY, but I will not buy it unless the board is recapped.
