Question about Apple iTunes

1 Answer

I am playing songs using itunes on an HP Pavillion laptop with windows vista. two or three times during every song the music jumps/skips just like a damaged vinyl record. i have tried everything suggested on boards - setting quicktime, closing other applications down, ensuring latest version of itunes it's driving me nuts - any ideas ?

Lets try playing a song with another player, try playing a song with Windows media player, or download winamp (http://www.winamp.com/ - get the free one) And try playing a song with it.

So after you have tried playing music with other players, is the problem limited to Itunes or does it happen with all media players?

I think we may have to do a remote support session to solve this problem (I will be able to see the screen, move the mouse and look into the problem)

let me know
Thanks,
Ekse

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You will need to wipe it clean then put all your songs back into it. Try using a different computer and then put iTunes on it and that should erase it all and then just load your Ipod back up with your music. What happens is that if the Ipod can't read the song, it stutters, tries to play that part, and sometimes skips songs.

Ipod randomly skips songs. will not play certain songs.

the songs that are skipped by the ipod are unrecognised(unplayable by ipod) formats......when adding the songs via itunes and syncing it the itunes software will ask you whether you want to convert the format to ipod format ....select yes and the problem will be solved .......

turn every program but itunes off. your firewall is interrupting your sync. close all programs or turn off your anti-virus and firewall so nothing can interrupt. keep me posted with results.
