I threw in a load of 3 small rugs. When I returned to check on them, there was water all over the floor. I immediately checked the drain for clogs, and there were none. I started another load, and as soon as I did, water started pouring onto the floor, from under the machine. All hoses are intact. Help!

Thank you very much. I will try this and see if I can find the leak and determine whether or not to fix it or buy a new one.

U can remove front panel by taking a putty knife and push back clips located in between the top panel and front panel. the front panel will fall towards you at the top. lift panel up to remove it off of the hinges at bottom. u should be able to expose the tub and everything else inside the cabinet of washer. put washer on small load and start the cycle. should not take long to find out where the water is coming from.

Water leaking on passenger side rug,how can i fix the problem, is it the AC tubing clogged up?

Yes, you have a drain line on the AC unit in front of the passenger seat, it comes through the fire wall and it gets clogged easily, find it, clear it and no more wet floor. It will flood the floor if you don't. Check it out.

Washer does not spin a lot of water out of rugs.

does it even spin? check for broken coupler by checking for tub movment when opening lid when you hear motor in spin. if good check that machine advances to spin from neutral drain automatically. let it enter spin from rinse on its own. first it will drain without spin. after 2-3 min of drain motor will pause (with clank) then restart in spin. This pause can be accomplished by opening lid and closing as well but the timer should do it on its own. if bad replace timer.

Rugs won't dry

There is a small hole near the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate.

Kenmore Energy Washer front load - about 5 - 7 years old

Hi mommo2,
I really hate those little rubber pieces that come off of those rugs, they really gum up everything. Just for future reference try to wash those outside with a water hose and a scrub brush. It will save you lots of money in repairs.
As for your current problem try to get as much out of the tub as possible. Then you will have to remove the small kickplate on the bottom of the washer. Get you some towels and a maybe a flat pan to catch some water. The panel will have a few screws around it that will need to be removed. Once you have removed the panel you will see your pump. The front of the pump has a filter that can be unscrewed and removed for cleaning. Unscrew the filter and get ready to catch some water. Maybe as much as a couple gallons. Once you have cleaned it out put the filter back in the pump and leave the panel off. Run the washer throught another cycle and clean the pump out again. You may need to repeat this several times. Hopefully this will solve the problem, if you still have draing issues you could have a clogged drain and for that you may need a plumber. Well good luck to you and I hope I helped. Clogged pump on Affinity Washer

Exactly the same problem. Washed a small area rug that appeared to have pretty much disintegrated. Machine would not drain. Got the same e 20 code. Checked the drain hose, and it was fine. Reamed the house drain just to be sure. Drum appears to have drained, but now the motor runs, and no water enters the machine. Both water hoses are flowing. No further error codes. Nada.
