Need part number for BBQ option to replace griddle

I believe there was an option to replace the griddle with a BBQ type open flame option. The griddle is removed easily enough by two screws. I am unable to find the part number or figure how to acquire and put in the BBQ option. Anyone know?

You will need the model number & serial number which may be on the back of the cooker on behind the plate under the oven door, then contact the manufacturer or agent. Reece HVAC are also a very good source to obtain parts from.

I used our bbq a couple days ago and it was fine, now I am not getting a flame to any part of the bbq. Tried different tanks, still nothing. Do you have any ideas as to what it might be?

Betty, to solve this problem, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.

I have a Viking Professional VGRT Gas 4 Burner + Griddle Cooktop. The griddle stopped working all together. The burners still all ignite and work fine. The griddle does not heat up. When we turn the...

I just had a tech come to my house and he told me that I need a new glow plug, It's the box to the right of the flame. Looks easy to replace, his visit took 5 minutes and it cost me 143.95 (this doesn't include the cost for the part or to have him come fix it, that will be sometime next week) so if you can get the part and do it yourself I would suggest that.

Hi im having a problem with my BBQ when i go to light it it only lights at a really low flame can you help

try opening the tank really slowly. it you open it too quickly the OPD (overfill protection device) in the tank will restrict the gas flow to the BBQ.

Weber Silver BBQ has 3 burners only 1 has normal flame.

you may have to remove the burners and clean the inside of them. they could have insect webs inside preventing the flow of gas. hope this helps. also, try opening the tank really slowly.

Need to replace griddle thermostat

My husband and I just had to check out our griddle on our 48 inch Viking rangetop. You remove the grates and the grate holders on either side of the griddle..it just pops out. Then you raise your griddle up about 4" to remove your thermastats., noting the position they are in so when you replace you can put back correctly. After pulling the thermastats out, then you lift the griddle out. Griddle is extremely heavy so be prepared to have close surface to lay it. Hope this helps.

Thermador PGR486GDZS Griddle not igniting

I would consult a qualified Gas Safe engineer as the small computer thing on the side of the electrode is a sensor to shut of the supply if there are errors with the flame.

Weber gas bbq

Hello stevie66, disconnect the gas tank, carefully remove the burner element (the thing with the small holes) and soak it in a bowl of vinegar overnight. Remove and shack the excess out, remount and connect the gas. Open the gas line about 1/4 turn and CAREFULLY LIGHT. Please E-Mail the results. Thank you.
