Question about LG WM Washing Machines

1 Answer

WF-T7030TP washes, drains but drum does not spin. I think it may be the 5307d solenoid(?) and if so, where do I get one in Australia?

It seems to have run a complete cycle but laundry still wet although there is no water in the drum. I removed all laundry and selected "spin" only cycle. The "agitator" inside the drum spins but the actual rum does not spn. I turned the macine on it' s side and repeated the spin cycle. The motor spins but it seems there is a linkage that engages the drum, via the solenoid , that is not kicking in. I don't have a service manual so this is all just based on observation.

SOURCE: Will fill with water but during rinse and spins it won't drain.

I fixed it on my own. By taking off the suction hose and spinning the fan inside it apparently dislodged something and is working now. Hopefully the problem won't come back, I was unable to find the foreign object.

SOURCE: Roper washer leaves clothes wet after spin cycle.

Thanks, Master Tech; I was having the same problem as Jason. When I put the pen in place, I realized that the motor was running, but the tub wasn't spinning (which I thought it was because of the sound of the motor). So, I put my hand in and gave it a push/spin and it started turning on its own after I did that.. So, I'm going to let it run and see what happens when the cycle is done. At least its a start in the right direction!

My LG Turbodrum WF-T7030Tp will not spin.

The LG's typically have a "gearbox" that cannot be fixed if it breaks. You'll have to check with an official dealer. I had a similar problem and in the end it turned out the gearbox would cost more than the whole machine (distribution network fail??).

How old it your machine?

Hi there ! I have a LG Top loader WF-T7030TP that wash the clothes but do not want to rinse, spin and drain the water.

you have blockage in your drain in the machine-possibly something stuck in the drain pump like a sock or a paper clip-tear it down-have a couple of old towels handy for the mess-cheers Denny

Hi-i have an lg wasshing machine 5.5kg wf-t552c.wont spin outside drum-lower plastic disc in drum spins only-drains water ok.

Now you meant that the agitator shaft works but the drum does not work. So the fault seems associated with the motor drive and could be a belt failure or a drive failure.
In this case it is important that an observsation into the fault from the motor drive is important to confirm the cause as it seems mechanically related.- since all other functions works according to the cycle.
