Any general overheating problem with plugs and electrical devices might relate to a short circuit. Please check all cables and esp. the plug to ensure no short circuit happens. If it continues and if the problem is not identifiable, take it to a technician, using it might result in component damage. Get it fixed as early as possible

Check engine tapping noise car shuts off

Need to find out the codes on check engine light. Tapping usually is oil, spark plug, vacuum leak , or worse case valve tap but usually problems are the simple ones when it occurs all of a sudden. Check your spark plugs to make sure not loose and check to make sure any small black tubing isnt disconnected anywhere.

Tapping noise when engine switched off and key withdrawn, only stops when battery is disconneced

After running/run on:carbon deposits in the combustion chambers (absorbing fuel then releasing it), low octane fuel (get's fired latter) , overheated engine (enough for self ignition), or spark plugs with too high of a heat range rate. Can be also :key ignition barrel (the inner switch),worn pistons ring/worn valve sealers (firing oil that appears in the chamber, kinda like diesel),main relay mulfunction (does not cut the fuel/ignition).Cheers,hope u share if figure out.

Our fx35 over heated and refuse to start

If the car overheated you may have blown the head gasket and other in the block. In that case the engine may not start anymore because of lack of compression, because piston rings are gone, valves may have been damaged etc. Another part that in many vehicles may blow with engine surge from overheating is the fuel pump. There are more parts that must be tested. If overheating drained the coolant fluid reservoir, then the head gasket usually must be replaced. Try replacing the spark plugs. If there have been overheating and engine surging the spark plugs must be replaced. If that does not do the job, then there is a major fault to troubleshoot.

Put new waterpump and thermostat in and still overheating got heat in car no leaks is there a bleeder for the coolant dont know if theres air or whats going on please someone help lol

Hi :) Check the gap of the spark plugs, this can cause a motor to over heat and check the compression and the oil pump pressure and the fuel filter, a engine not getting anought fuel can burn lean and over heat.

you might have a blown head casket try due a pressure test on each cylinder and sometimes you can take a spark plug out 1 by 1 and just tap the ket so it cranks and see if water comes out of the cylinder

Spark plugs on a vectra

If it the 16v engine, remove the top engine cover. In the centre of the engine there is a long black coil pack, with a plug on the right hand side. Remove plug and the couple of bolts holding it onto the engine. Spark plugs are underneath.
