Older Kettles that are rusty, will always be rusty. Use the carbon cleaner, and steel wool to remove the rust. But you must season the steel immediately after to stop new rust from forming.

To season the kettle, heat it up to operating temp, with a light coating of oil on it. You want to burn the oil, (creating Carbon) to stop new rust from happening. That is the only way to avoid new rust.

SOURCE: Kettle Keeps jolting out of place

Popcorn popper is approximately three weeks old and now the popcorn clogs up in the hopper (cooker pot), the gear quits turning, and we have to pry the popcorn out. It worked perfectly when we first got it and now it is nothing but a pain to use. We tried several popcorns, cooking oils and amounts of oils, but the problem continues. I noticed the small spring located on the lower shaft doesn't cover the entire shaft. Is it supposed to be longer? Your prompt reply for a solution would be greatly appreciated or we will have to return the unit to our local retailer where we purchased it.

SOURCE: No operating instructions

No oil needed - is hot air popper. Use round lid on top to measure popcorn, pour popcorn into metal part in center of popper.

I have a 2085cl and it now produces a funny taste on my popcorn, what can I do to fix this?

If you are using chemicals to clean the kettle, that is what you are tasting.

You should only use recommended kettle cleaeners like Heatn Kleen, or Kleen Sweep from a popcorn distributor. Other cleaners will absorb into the carbon build up, and transfer a fowl taste. Old vegetable oil build up can also turn rancid over time and create a bad smell and taste.

Lost manual for our bella popcorn popper model 13566. How do I clean it? Can the kettle be submerged once it is removed from the machine?

No, no popcorn kettles can be submerged. They are not dishwasher safe.

To keep clean, use coconut oil and just wipe it with a damp cloth. It is good for the cooking surface to become seasoned with carbon.

Generally, you want 3 oz. of corn to one 1oz of oil. The amount of corn you can put in the kettle depends on the size of the kettle. So take the kettle size, (I think that machine is an 8 oz popper) and divide 8 by three to get 2.66 oz. (about a third of a cup) of oil needed. So you would use 1 cup of corn, and a third cup of oil.

Straight from the company:
All Paragon poppers utilize tempered glass panels, stainless steel cleanout trays, aluminum corner posts and either plated or anodized kettles. These surfaces can be cleaned using standard window cleaner. You will want to note that you should never submerge a kettle in any type of liquid because it has electrical components inside of it that can short out. Paragon kettles are designed to be wiped out with a clean cloth after each use. Should you have a kettle that gets burned on oil stains you can order Paragon's kettle cleaning kit (part# 1075) which will allow you to clean it to near new conditions. We also feature Carbon Off kettle cleaner. Winner of many gold medals for being the best product on the market.

Need new kettle for a Galaxy G14 popcorn machine?

Hello. If you want a new kettle you can contact here:
http://www.star-mfg.com/Scripts/ContactTechServ.aspx

If it just needs cleaning, there are a few products that will dissolve the build up, remember, don't submerge the kettle in liquids. It will have to be done slowly, and take a little time, oh yeah, and effort :)
If you contact the manufacture, they can recommend a cleaner to use.
Hope that helps, and thank you.

When Popper Has Popped Corn Just Before.
1. Pour the properly measure amount of Oil into the kettle.
2. Wait about 45 seconds - or until the Oil in the kettle starts to smoke slightly.
3. Pour the contents of the properly measured corn cup (kernels plus popcorn salt or Flavacol) into the kettle.
4. Wait about 2 1/2 minutes. If you are using a pan on the stove without an agitator, you must constantly shake gently. When the crackling noise of the popping corn is no longer heard, dump the kettle and empty it completely.
5. Repeat if needed for more popcorn.
6. When you are finished popping, turn off the kettle agitator switch (if you have one) and turn off the Pilot light/ heat switch.
7. After the machine has cooled enough so as not to be dangerously hot, wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth. This helps prevent a heavy build-up of the Oil.

TIPS
- Bagged floss keeps a day or two, depending on the humidity
- Use bags to make and display cotton candy in advance - use cones for immediate sales
- Unless you're experienced, it's best to turn off the motor to refill the spinner head
- If machine will be used more than 20ft. from power source, be sure to have an adequate extension cord
