It's possible that there could be something wrong with the needle bar, and if the sewing machine has any electronics to it, that could also be a problem, if the problem continues, it would be a good idea to have the machine checked.

The automatic threader wont pick up and thread needle. Can do manually but thats not easy?

to make manual threading of a needle easy buy a needle threader
it is a instrument that has a very fine piece of wire in a loop that you push through the eye of the needle , put the thread in that loop and pull the loop back out of the eye and the needle is threaded
available from most any shop that sells material , cotton , thread or sewing machine shops
cost --pack of 2 for $1.00 or there abouts

NEEDLE LOCKED ON SHARK EURO PRO

Release the screw on the needle. Back up the machine manually. Grab the need head with a pair of pliers and lever the needle upwards until it comes up from the bobbin. Keep it straight or the needle will snap. Strip it down and find out what caused it?

How do i remove the needle clamp assembly from bernina 1090?

Remove the needle bar clamp screw. From the back side of the needle clamp holder, remove the small needle stop screw. The clamp can then be slid down off the end of the needle bar. You may have to swivel the clamp back and forth as you slide it down in order to remove it. Some clamps are fairly tight.

My janome 11000 memorycraft's needle threader has jammed in the down position and cannot be moved

Thanks to floraq803, we have our 11000 working again. The needle threader was stuck in the down position. We turned off the machine, and turned the wheel (which controls where the needle is) until the needle threader bar was straight (approximately 1/2 way between the needle being all the way down and all the way up). Turned on the machine and the threader came back up again. Now back to sewing.

Remove thread. Remove the needle plate. Turn hand wheel toward you. Rethread machine. Make sure presser foot in up position when you thread needle. Make sure needle all way up in shaft, flat side back and more rounded side facing you Turn hand wheel toward you again and observe the following: As needle comes down, make sure the needle's eye makes pass by the scarf of the needle. Dont no how to work the autmatic theader

You haven't said what make and model but on my Janome 6500 the auto needle threader is a little plastic piece that you pull down on the left of the needle bar. You pull it downwards and it swings over and a little hook comes through the eye of the needle. Now pull your top thread down in front of it and then to the right against the bottom of it. This brings the thread across the front of the needle and the little hook. Let the threading device go and it should pull back out of the needle and upwards again, taking the thread with it and through the eye of the needle. Now, just disenage the thread from the little hook and you should be ready to go.

Most needle threaders are some variation on this, a little wire or hook that comes through the eye from the back to front, so you can introduce the thread into it, then pull it back through the needle eye.

Of course you can always remove the needle from the needle holder, and thread it with a little manual needle threader in the same direction, insert it from the back, put the thread into the wire loop, then pull it back through the needle eye. Then put the needle back into the needle holder flat shank to the back, if your machine doesn't have this feature. Most multi packs of hand sewing needles will come with a little metal needle threader which often just sits there unused.

I hope this assists you with your machine.

It breaks needles

Put a new needle in. Do not power up the machine. By hand rotate the needle down with the head laying on it's back. With a flashlight watch the needle come through the hole to determine what it is hitting. I've seen (in severe abuse cases) that the needle shaft is bent and the needle hits the bobbin case, instead of just coming down next to it. Use a plyer to carefully bend the shaft back to it's original position. Consew 226R-1 is an excellent machine.

Good Luck!

How do you thread a pfaff 7570

If only we could put video links in here! But here goes:

Raise the presser foot;
Turn the hand wheel until the take-up lever (the hook bit that goes up and down, above the needle ) has reached its highest position;
Remove the small spool holder from the horizontal thread holder that is under the lid. Put thread reel onto spool, replace spool holder;
Pull thread behind first thread guide - it is the cream flat plastic bit towards the back - about 1" x 3/4" (i.e. the thread takes the first exit at the back);
Bring it down the left-hand long slot on the front of the machine, back up the right-hand slot, over the hook of the take-up lever, back down the right-hand slot and pass it from the side between the thread guide (silver metal bit just above the needle - looks a bit like curled metal). I found this last guide the most difficult to figure out - tried to get the thread into the curled bit - but you don't do that - it just slips in behind;
Thread goes through the eye of the needle. You can use the needle threader or not. Instructions for needle threader:

Lower sewing foot (makes more room and clamps the thread in the upper tension discs so it is less likely to keep spooling off while you are trying to thread);
Turn handwheel until the needle is in highest position;
Pull the needle threader straight down and then twist it to the front so the tiny hook on the threader goes through the eye of the needle;
Take thread under the larger metal hook on the left, put your thumb on it to stop it coming off, thread goes back towards the needle and under the small hook that is poking through the needle from the back;
Twist the needle threader towards the rear, releasing the thread carefully and allow the threader to move upwards. There should be a loop of thread left in the eye of the needle and you can now pull it all through to the back.

That sounds really complicated but I find the Pfaff needle threader works really well, unlike that of some other machines. I also have a Husqvarna Designer 1 whose needle threader works great, but the one on my friend's Designer SE is useless. Go figure!

Pfaff grand quilter 18.8 with Q-Bot, and having problems with the stitch regulator. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

the up and down buttons are not working properly. When pressing the needle down button, the needle does go down and then comes right back up. pressing the needle up button makes the needle shoot up and down 2 times very fast. HELP
