07 honda accord factory fog lights won't work. I've narrowed it down to a fuse. Whenever push the button for the fog lights "bam!", it blows a fuse. I've tried about 5 fuses now and no luck. I've traced the wires and no cuts or abrasions which would allow it to ground out. Please help!

Hi Josh,

It sounds like you've got a short in there somewhere, for sure.

Since you've traced back and found nothing - I'd try disconnecting the lamps from the wiring harness and see if it blow again. If it doesn't - then it is a bulb or lamp assembly issue. If it continues to blow the fuse - you're going to need to keep tracing back further.

SOURCE: Fog lights

check fuse #7 in the fuse block inside the vehicle and fuse #25 in the fuse block under the hood...more than likely you blew one of these fuses when it sparked. as for the drivers side being inop once you replace the blown fuse if you have a test light check for voltage at the bulb connector...the light assembly itself may be bad

SOURCE: 1996 honda accord no turn signal

Check the wiring in the front and back to lights for shorts to ground, if nothing is found replace the turn signal switch, be careful to disarm the airbag before doing any work on the column as the steering wheel must be pulled to replace the turn switch.

SOURCE: car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

MY 2006 HONDA ACCORD KEEPS BLOWING THE RADIO FUSE

There's either a short in your radio or something is grounding out the circuit. To narrow down the problem, remove the radio and disconnect the plugs in the back of it. If the fuse blows while it's unplugged, you have a short somewhere else in the wiring. If it doesn't blow the fuse, your radio is the problem.

I have a 2002 honda accord when I push on the brake padel my turn signals or my 4 way flashers won't work. When I put on my lights my turn signals or my 4 way flashers won't work. Could you please...

Hi,
First check the fuse in the fuse box for signal light, replace the fuse with similar value if it is busted. If the fuse is still intact the problem would be the flasher relay( small cylindrical aluminum ) that is already malfunctioning.

Hope that helps you out!

2005 Honda Accord, all three passenger power windows stopped working. The drivers window works and the window lock is not on. When I try the switch on each of the passenger windows i cvan hear a clicking...

you most likely have a power/ground/switch issue in the drivers door. the power for the other three doors must first travel through the switches in the driver door before it goes to the passengers. hence the reason why when somebody rolls down a passenger window and you push the up button on the driver door the window stops moving. the wires can break inside the rubber boot in the door jam. you can also have an internal problem with the driver door switch unit. you would need a wiring diagram to diagnose this concern.

Four Wheel drive not working. Blows fuses.

Hi:
Your four wheel drive push button system has only 3 components, so there is a way to narrow down what is blowing the fuse:

the system includes the push button panel and indicator light, the shift control module, and the shift control motor.

The shift control motor is the only part that can draw enough current to blow the fuse. If for some reason the transfer case is jambed up, that could blow the fuse too...So if you are planning on attempting repair yourself:

first, unplug the connector off of the shift control motor, and see if the fuse still blows.. if not, then remove the shift control motor from the side of the transfer case and plug it back in to the harness and see if the fuse blows. If so, then the shift control motor is bad, if the fuse doesnt blow then you need to check out your transfer case.

Alternator fuse blows

Kevin, chances are that when the new alternator was put on. The wires were put too close to something either hot or that it can rub on. If you do not find that this is the problem then return the alternator to the store and have it tested for internal problems. Bad Alternator can do this. Good luck
