How do I use the Sony signal interface switcher PC-1271M with the Sony VPH-G70 projector everything is all hooked up but I can't seem to get a picture

You say checked cord and power there, might be from leakage, check fuse, check units fuse, but if fuse blown, why? might be just close to usage so just replace, if blows again problem

u can connect the computer to ur projector for that u need Signal interface cable.
its number is SIC-HS30. u can connect one end to the vga out of pc and the other end to pj Multi input of ur projector.

In order to configure the proyector for hd video you would need to change a couple of things in your set up.

First you would need to use hd cables, and not the rgb. You can purchase some standard high def cables at any best buy or radioshack, depending on the source device there is the standard high def out, the set of 5 cables, 3 video plus the 2 audio.

To enable the unit to support the progressive DVD signal, perform the following
procedure.

Connect the DVD player’s component output into Input A.
In the SET SETTING menu select HDTV-YPbPr for Input A.
In the INPUT SETTING menu highlight Sync and select EXT (HV).
The IDTV module disables itself automatically

Perform this procedure with nothing connected to the component input on the projector, otherwise you will get the an off/on flickering screen which prevents you from seing what you are doing when navigating the menu screens. Perform the procedure and then connect.

There should be a menu option for orientation. The selection may be for ceiling vs standard. You have the unit set for ceiling mount.

Using composit cable will not help better to use VGA also what hrs do you hacve on the lamps and have the projectors had their 1000Hrs service?

Absolutely. The circuitry can "short out" on the controller boards.

A Pelican watertight case or similar is your best best.
They're not too expensive... but a new projector is more expensive.
