SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: VCR/Cable TV Connection

The cable should be connected to the antenna in jack of the VCR. The out to tv jack should then be connected to the antenna jack of the tv. When the VCR is in "vcr" mode (tv/vcr button) you should see it when the TV is tuned to the output channel of the VCR (usually ch3 or ch4).

SOURCE: Unicersal Remote code for Motorola cable box

I found this on another site: It works BUT you don't have all the functionality you would have with the cable remote (of course). If you want power on/off, vol up/down and channel change.. this is your fix.

I got mine to work using the Code search method. The manual is incorrect though about using the code search: Instead of pressing Power repeatedly, you just press it once. It sequences through the codes. You then need to press Enter immediately when the comcast unit turns off.

SOURCE: need code for motorola cable box with a insignia remote

Assuming you have the DRC800 remote:
    Codes are 0467 or 1376

You can EASILY program the remote without a key code:
    1. Press the "cbl" button
    2. Press and hold "setup" button Until red light blinks twice
    3. Press 9-9-1
    4. Press power button
    5. Press chanel up repeadedly until your cable box shuts off
    6. Press "setup" button again

That should be all there is to it. You can do the same thing for TV,VCR/DVD,Audio, whatever
    It's easier than it looks.

Here is a website with more info if you need it:

My Motorola dct700 is turning on and showing the guide page but says channel should come on soon had been this way all day, nothing wrong with the cable trying to get it on rather than waiting for tech. I...

This only happens under 2 conditions. 1) you are not getting signal or 2) the box is bad. Now if you have cable in the rest of the house it could be a glitch with that box. Sometimes the box doesn't communicate to the cable co or vice versa. By resetting I'm assuming you disconnected power from the wall and waited over a minute. A call to the cable co will be needed to resend a signal over the line to activate it. Some cable co can even do this by an automated system. If the box is bad, well you gotta call them anyway.

Remote Codes for Motorola Cable Box DCT700/US

I have run into this problem with my Sharp Aquos as well. This is not necessarily a code problem but an interference problem.

If you take your hand or a thick book and sort of make a hood over the area of the sensor on the cable box and place the remote right up close to the sensor this will help let you know if the remote and the box are working with the code. Also might try turning off the TV or unplug the TV to test and make sure the remote will turn on the box.

Next thing after you determine this is how to block the interference and be able to use your remote. What we did is placed the Wii on top of the box over the area of the sensor and this seems to have done pretty good.

    Good Luck ....

I am trying to connect the vcr to the tv with a cable box

There are two ways to connect your equipment.

    1) Connect the cable box antenna output (may be labeled "out to TV", "antenna out", "catv out" or even something else, but the key is it will say "out") to the VCR's antenna input. From the VCR's antenna output (out to tv, etc.) you connect to the TV's antenna input. For these connections you use RF cables, the kind with something called F-connectors on the ends. (These cables are available with screw-on or push-on type plugs. Use the screw-on type which makes a more reliable connection.) Set your VCR and TV both on the cable box output channel. This will be either 3 or 4, depending on how the box is set up. With this setup you can record whatever program is coming from the box by having the VCR record on the box output channel. Unfortunately, you can't record shows that are on different cable channels unless you'll be there to change channels on the box. (There are some VCRs that can control a cable box to switch channels, but I don't believe your model does.) You also can't watch one channel while recording a different one.

    2) (This won't work if your TV doesn't have a video input available.) Connect the cable box to the VCR and the VCR to the TV with audio/video cables. These are the ones with RCA plugs, color-coded red and white for right and left channel sound and yellow for video. Set the VCR to line input and the TV to the input you have the VCR connected to. This connection setup gives a better picture and sound quality that the RF connection described above. You still have the same restrictions on recording, though.

Sounds a little confusing, I know. Just remember that inputs connect to outputs and you'll be set up in no time.

    Need codes

Unit does not have a manual, but I did find this -

For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Programming a Device using Code Search:

    1. Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
    2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
    3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
    4. Release CODE SEARCH.
    5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
    6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
    7. With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Programming a device using the Code Lists:

    1. Find codes for each device and brand below.
    2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
    3. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.
    4. Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists.

    5. Release CODE SEARCH.
    6. With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.
Let me know if this works, and if not, I'll keep looking.
