make sure your ice maker is turned on and if it is a new install than it will take about 24 hours for the first bin of ice witch you will need o throw away because it is like the first snow the first ice that comes out will have the dirt and things that are in the line.filter and ice maker.

The fill valve may hae a chunk of debris such as rust in it. If you disconnect power and water, you might disassemble the valve if it's the type that was screwed together. If it's riveted, you'll have no choice but to replace. In either case, make sure you have a filter in the line so this does not happen again.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
With the info you posted, I understand your GE fridge icemaker will make ice, but not extract it/complete the harvest, correct?
It may actually be nothing serious, but it will require some investigation by way of pulling the icemaker out of the freezer.
Once you've got the icemaker out, inspect the icemaker mold and clean it by placing some "white vinegar" (where the arrow points in the image below) in the mold and leaving it for a hour or so and then cleaning the mold out.
Often water deposit and sediment build up in the mold which in turn prevents the ice from extracting as it actually "sticks" to the mold. Cleaning the mold often remedies the problem if this is the cause.
It is also possible the mold heater isn't coming on to allow the bailer arm to push the ice out of the mold, ( but that will also normally manifest in the bailer arm "clicking" as it tries to harvest the cubes) but I'd suggest checking and cleaning out the mold first.
Let me know how you manage and I'll try to assist you going forward in any manner I can. Good luck.
