New ink cartridges installed and sounds like its printing but nothing is printed on the paper. I can hear the the printer working as if it is printing.

Did you make sure that the colored tape was removed from the back of the ink cartridges? The manufacture puts the tape on there to protect the circuits during shipping. If the tape is still there it would not be able to communicate with the printer or computer.

Try cleaning the nozzle using the software that came with the printer, if it's been a while since you have printed, try cleaning the head with a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol.

microsoft logo is in colour and so its printing while everything else on test page is black so its not printing. the problem is common.you need to do automatic deep cleaning for the ink flow to start once you install new cartridges.go to printer maintanance option and click the option deep cleaning .it will pull out the ink in printer head and it will start working.sometimes also requires cleaning twice. thanks and do not forget to accept the solution.

Hi There You can try/
Summary
Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead
1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning
And if that not work
Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.
Ok.
There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.
Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.
Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Hi,
Open the top of the printer and remove all of the ink catridges. Be careful to place them upright and on top of some newspaper. Lift the lever to the left of the print carriage all the way up until it stops. It should come to rest staight up. You may now remove the print head by rocking it forward first and lift it out. Place the print head in a small container that does not allow for much room on any of the sides. Pour rubbing alcohol into the container and submerse the print head until the intake screens are covered. Gently agitate the container for a few minutes and remove the print head...placing it onto newspaper or paper towels. You may use a cotton tip applicator (Q tip) and gently rub each of the intake screen for each color. Turn the print head over and clean off the applicator portions of the print head (Copper looking with slots). Be careful to not leave any debris on any of the surfaces. Tap the print head onto the paper towel softly to remove any excess alcohol. If you notice a lot of ink still oozing from the bottom of the print head you may repeat the soaking and blotting process several times.
After you are satisfied that most of the ink is desolved and dislodged from the print head, wipe all the suface with a clean paper towell to insure the contacts, etc. are clean. Replace the print head into the printer and lower the lever to lock the print head into position. Replace each of the colors in the correct locations and choose the deep clean option either on the menu of the printer or on the maintenance options on your computer (Start, settings, printer, properties, maintenance). Try the deep cleaning option to insure the inks are flowed through the print head and then print a test alignment page. If you still continue to have problems with some of the colors or streaking you may need to replace the print head.
Thank you!
