It says to turn it of and then back on but this is the 7th time in a row now and not firing up.
SOURCE: problem with canon irc3200
hello Josh. I can tell you "bulletproof verbatum" from the service manual what this error code means. But for me to merely try to help you{as I am} , I will be penalized by this website "FIXYA" since unless you are a trained Canon technician the info I provide will not truly "fixya".But I would rather lose my rating than let you potentially be screwed by a the local copier dude.Just please give me a decent rating/vote when you get a chance to comment on thr quality of my help for you. This code has to do with the fusing unit, a common component on all copiers. The fusing unit is responsible for providing extreme heat and pressure to to the paper and potential image as it reaches the exit of the copier. The heat and pressure "bond" the toner to the paper. The temperature can approach 380* F and therefore must be controlled in redundant ways to insure safety. Your machine has among the redundant systems two "active" temperature sensing devices called thermistors. They each monitor the temperature of the "fusing "unit, and are located in different areas to better monitor the temp. They also compare each other's temp to once again insure safety. Your code means that the "non contact" thermistor and the end {contact} thermistor had a difference of temperature readings of 80*c for more than 500 milliseconds. This is abnormal and not possible if all is well. One or both are bad. The code can be reset, but if the problem is genuine and not a fluke then it will return. To reset the code. Press "additional functions" then the 2&8 simaltaneaously, the additional functions again. New screen. Press "function'. Press clear.....ERR. THen ok at the bottom. Power off an dhope for the best.Good luck.

SOURCE: Canon IRC3200 jams whit code
Just a note to everyone, if you have not seen it you will. False jams right above the fuser (OD91). If you remove the jam the paper feeds to the same area and "jams" again. Reset the power and you are set to go. I have seen this problem on Ir C3200s and IrC3220.
SOURCE: How do one enter to Service Mode level 3 of Canon irc3200
That level 3 mode is only for Canon engineers. What counter are you looking to reset? The counters for most maintenance items are reset in service mode level 1. The total counter for the machine cannot be reset without replacing the main controller pcb & the counter pcb.
