Question about Televison & Video
Yes Jose, this problem very popular! It has to do with degausing the tube. Make sure you dont have any speakers close to your set also.
Its likely you will have to replace the PTC, some models have 2pin and some 3pin. Ciao

Hello boof head,
I got good news and bad news for you. The Hello Kitty TV set uses a Mitsubishi chassis 0707-A20390-00 which employs a single main processor for major systems functions (one of which is color for the AV Composite Video input signal and the Audio input signal. It looks like in your case the processor is bad (IC203). This processor is the sole input for your video signal . The schematic I am looking at shows that from the AV input the signal goes straight to the processor. This processor is tricky because when it goes bad it looks like it could be something else because other devices plugged into the port sometimes works, and misleads folks into thinking that the TV is ok when it is a case of the signal being "hot" enough to leak over into other sections of the chip and causing it to look as though it's working. I would suggest taking the TV to a qualified repair shop. Now if you don't want to do that you could check the cables and make sure the signal is good going into the AV ports. However that is about the extent you will be able to work on this Tv because of the way it is designed.
I hope this helps

depending on how much you paid for the tv , the cost of the repair may be more than the tv is worth. but if this is a large tv , then the repair would be most likely worth it
