Question about Husqvarna Garden

Open Question

New husqavarna weedeater head won't spin. This was our second time using it and we had been using it for a couple hours cutting down thick ornimental grass when all of a sudden the head stopped spinning. We can fire up the engine and that sounds fine but the head doesn't spin.

SOURCE: craftsman 42" riding lawn mower blade free spinning but wont cut

It sounds to me that you need a new mower deck drive belt, or your blades need sharpening. If the blade edges are rounded, they won't cut butter... Also, when mower is off, check mower deck drive pulleys to make sure you don't have any that are locked up or are dragging. You can check this by pulling the belt away from pulley and spinning the pulley by hand. MOWER MUST BE OFF before attempting any of these checks. You would be surprised how many people would try this with the mower running.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: brand new tanaka weedeater, ran fine for 10 minutes,

Just had the exact same problem there is a washer located in there that needs to come out then turn the bras thingy around #18 in parts diagram then put the washer on the outside to space cutting attachment. Manufacturer is an idiot!! Make sure your clutch didn't burn out in the process.

Battery is NO GOOD.... need new ones, these quickly go bad, if not religiously charged and discharged. You must charge a long time when first get them, and then as soon as flat must go back on charger, for at least 4hours... regardless what is said. If ever removed before properly charged, then it will "remain" at that level, next charge and so on... All batteries MUST be flat before recharge, and full before used again, no exceptions.

Weedeater SST25 head not spinning

At the base of most weedeaters there is a mounting point where the coil that extends down and through the shaft to the head is. It "sounds" like over time it may have finally rattled loose. I know on my weedeater, every season I used to take apart the head and take the shaft completely off, tighten things up and then reassemble and I was usually good for the spring/summer. It's amazing at how much vibration those things can generate and that usually spells loose nuts and bolts by the end of the season.

Weedeater head spins off the weedeater body

Jacque It's possible that you are not tightening the head on properly or the nut has completely sheared. If you can get some two part resin glue i would suggest that you try and stick it back with this. I used it on a Mculloch and it lasted years. Make sure to give it 24 hours to set and that everything is clean.

I have a brand new craftmans gas weedwacker. The line went completely in the head (after about ten minutes of use) and I can't get it out. It is a bump type head. Any ideas???

Hi,

When using the weedeater you cant let the line get too shore otherwise it goes back inside the head, you will now have to pull the bump head apart and reload the snipper cord...

Our Toro, guaranteed to start, won't start. We can cut awhile, then it will not restart. Plug is fine, getting a spark, and not at all wet, can't seem to find the problem. This doesn't...

I have the same problem. One time this happened and it restarted after a few hours and worked fine for 5 more cuts over a couple of months time. Now again it quit mid cut of my yard and would not restart. When trying to start it would fire for a few seconds and than shut off again. I wated a week to try it again and now it does nto fire at all. This is about a year old mower with only about 10-15 hours of total use.

Feather lite weedeater disconnected shaft and

You may not have the drive shaft seated all the way into the power head.
You will have to loosen up the drive shaft and push the shaft in but at the same time turning the trim head to fit it into the drive area, then tighten it back down.
