Try using a file manager app like Astro, its free from the play store. Very much like using My Computer on a PC. Navigate to the SD card, select file, and it should open in the native media player.

Go to start menu, my computer and leave that window open.

Then go to start menu, my music and leave that window open

Then you can drag songs from music straight to SD card.

Right click on your mp3 file, go to properties, Make sure read only is NOT checked.
TIP: You can copy all files by clicking the first file, then hold the SHIFT key, and then lastly clicking the last file. Then all files will be highlighted.

Can't transfer my music to LG800g micro SD card. It will go to internal memory only.

you have to download a file moving app or viewing app. it should allow you to copy the music files on your phone and past them to the sd card. This may work but if not you may have to reformat your sdcard and but that will wipe everything on your card. Another solution is to get your phone rooted is what you may have to do giving you acess to move files around better

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your sd card select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

if still no joy

Right click on sd card select properties you will have an array of options

Select the hardware option then select your drive properties policies

restore defaults

In XP

Right click on your sd card select properties then on customize restore Default in W 7

hope this helps

When I try to put music on the micro sdcard I cant. Then I try format the sdcard and it tells me the sdcard is write protected.

Hello!!

I suppose you are using the card via inserting it in the CAP ( Holder) that came with the card to be able to make it used with card reader.

So, the Micro SD card gets locked only through it's CAP (Holder)

Steps to Unlock :

Insert the card into the CAP (Holder).
Please check the Upper Left side of the CAP (Holder).
There must be One switch which will slide Up and Down.
Push that switch to Upper side. (Pushing to downward will lock while the reverse will Unlock the Card).
Now Insert it to Card Reader to use it.

Hope it Helps..!!!

I have a dsi memory card for the pictures and music i got the picturs to work but not the music how do i upload it

For music to work on your sdcard it as to be converted from mp3 files to aac files, the way to do that is thru itunes, you have to download it if you do not have it, when you have done that, play the tracks you want on itunes, stop each track you play then right click and click create aac vesion, make sure when you do that you see it doing it, you will know when it is because you will see it conveting above the track, and when its done you will hear a bell ring after it converted it,their will be two tracks of each, the one being converted, and the mp3 files its being converted from, when you have all the tracks you want, right click them and click where it says show in windows explorer, send all your track to the file, then drop and drag them to your card, you can put them in a music file on your card, thats what i did for my grandson to make it easy for him to find, then pop the sdcard into the side of your dsi, the open the sdcard menu, and then open the music file and their will be your music, easy, hope this helps you.

If you have converted your music on itunes then all you have to do is right click on the tracks you want on your dsi, and click show in windows explorer, when you have them it that folder, put your sdcard into your pc and drop and drag them onto you sdcard one by one, then into the side slot on your dsi.

Camera will not read SD card

1.) Mount your camera
2.) Open your dcim folder in your camera
3.) In whatever file browser you're using (Explorer, Finder, Nautilus, etc) enable show hidden files.
4.) Remove .thumbnails folder
5.) Be sure to empty trash

See if that works.

Garmin Nuvi 310

When connected via USB, the unit should connect with activesync as "Mobile Device". Browse this device with explorer and you should see your (formatted) SD card as \Mobile Device\SDMMC\ or \Mobile Device\sdcard\
Simply drag and drop mp3 files to this folder. If you have a card reader in your computer you can move files to the sd card without having to have
the unit connected.
