Sounds like an O-ring. When was your last VIP (should be every year) and the shop should be changing the O-rings. First, check to see if the screw that is inside the handle of the valve is loose, that can also do it... otherwise, drain the air, unscrew the screw inside the valve handle and there should be an O-Ring inside.. just replace it with the same size - probably less than $1 at a dive shop.

How much should engine valves leak if compressed air is added to the cylinder?

if its at top dead center it should lose nothing, if its losing pressure it can be the timing is not right or there is a build up of carbon on the valves, but the test should only be done on an engine turning over on its starter motor not compresed air as the timing marks of open and close on each are so close.

Air compressor problem

Start valve closes when compressor can create enough volume to close it. Most likely your valves or gaskets are needing service /replacement. After proper pressure /volume is restored, start valve will close. Good luck

Need gaskets for CSX20E Hotpoint side by side

Seals don't lose their magnetism. Check the door closes all the way round and adjust the hinges if it doesn't sit straight. Check there isn't a relief valve frozen up or blocked (it allows air to escape when the doors are closed). Check the drawers are fully pushed back in and not stopping the door closing properly

Method to assist proper pumpdown of a heatpump system.

Pumpdown is the storing of all refrigerant in the condensing unit..if that is what you are trying to do, the procedure is to , install gauges, close the discharge service valve, manually close the contactor and watch the low side gauge until you just barely have positive pressure, then close the suction service valve.

My pressure cooker always makes a hissing sound. Is that close properly?

As long as the lid is properly locked into position it should be closed properly. A certain amount of air and steam will escape from the valve on the lid and will male a hissing sound but this is perfectly normal.

Schrader valve extremely slight leak

No I don't think it will. They make a tool however that will allow you to change the schrader valve core without losing any charge. You can get them at HVAC supply stores. ($30+)

Small leak somewhere- help- after kayaking yesterday, the kayak was somewhat deflated. can't find hole.

If it is a inflatable I would suggest mixing soap and water in a sprayer and inflate it back to normal then spray the whole kayak down and look for bubble, then youll find your leak.

My YZ250F loses all its power after it warms up.

Check the valve clearances, when the bike warms up the valve clearance will get tighter and a valve will not be closing properly.

I'm loosing air on my 3hp air compressor, as soon as i pull that trigger on my compressor for about 2 second it looses air. No holes in the air hose nothing is wrong but just loosing air

Are you talking about the power switch or the trigger of an air tool?
If it is the power switch then how much air are you losing?
At start up most air compressors will lose a small amount of air through the unloader valve. As the compressor builds psi this valve will close. Once the max psi is reached the motor will shut off then a few seconds later the unloader valve will open again releasing the pressure in the cylinder. If your leak does not abate as psi builds you might need to replace your switch and valve.
