Just connect the TV to your computer using S video / HDMI or VGA cable. Also your display card should support the same. You will see the TV listed there

First place to look will be the caps in the power supply section, look for caps with bulging top, post back what you see so we can guide you further, failed caps are common problems, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
