I have a Quantaray SD card reader, I put a SD card in it and it doesn't work. I guess I need a driver or software in my Windows 7

Are you sure it's an SD card? If it's larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in devices designed only for SD cards.

It says please remove sd card and reboot the device

OK, this means to remove, from a PC if connected, remove any SD or Memory Cards, that maybe being used, and then to find the little reset button, (usually in little hole at side/rear) and depress it for a few seconds, and the GPS will "Reboot" and restart as usual.

I was trying to upgrade the software and it wiped the comp clean can you do a reset

SYLVANIA SmartBook Operating System Update:
  1. Format an SD card 1GB or larger to FAT32
  2. Insert formated SD card into your PC
  3. Download and save the file
  4. Unzip the file to the root of an SD card.
  5. This should result in the creation of a folder called 'script' in the root directory of the SD card.
  6. Insert the SD card into the SmartBook (netbook) device and power on the netbook.
  7. The netbook will update its software.
  8. When completed, remove the SD card and reboot the netbook.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Joe

Phone keeps rebooting

Its simple: if rebooting occurs, just remove SD card and once booted, reinsert SD card.
Or, taking out the SIM, turn on without, turn off, and then restarting with SIM inserted again.
