Question about Candy Washing Machines

Leaking washing machine

My Hoover OPH716DF washing machine is leaking water from the front filter plug. I have unscrewed it, cleaned it and put it back but it still leaks. It leaks mostly when the washer is emptying. There doesn't seem to be anything else I can remove and clean. Please help!

SOURCE: water leaking from under the front of the washing machine

The pump is easy to replace:
#1 Use a shop vac and pull all the water out of the drain line. This will keep you from having to clean up about 1 gallon of water off of the floor.
#2 Lift the front of the machine enough for you to get under and see.the pump just inside the front of the washer.
#3 Lift the 2 retaining clips off of the pump. This will allow you to pull the pump off of the motor.
#4 Remove the 2 clamps off of the hoses.
#5 Install the new pump into the hoses, and reinstall the clamps.
#6 With the retaining clips installed into the motor housing, install the pump.
#7 Attach the retaining clips, and set the washer back on the ground.

You have now replaced the washer pump.

Ours did same thing after nearly same amount of time.

Run a couple of sanitary cycles without any cloths.

Only use HE detergent.

SOURCE: LG WM2355C water leaking under machine after washing finished.

I had this same problem and it was not the supply connections or filters! Under the machine is a rubber bellows. The bellows had sprung a leak. The part was about $10 from Sears and I repaired it in about 30 minutes. The machine is heavy so be careful. Get a friend to make sure the machine won't rock or tip when you're making the repair.

Hoover leaking at bottomwhere filter is screwed it back but still leaks

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I suspect there is either limescale in the thread of the filter plug OR behind the filter itself and this is stopping the plug from being screwed home completely. Remove the plug, pull out the filter, clean filter compartment all round, especially at the back AND ensure the plug thread is completely free of limescale ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I have a hoover optima, and I have just cleaned the filter, when I put the filter back in, water leaks out from it.

CHECK IF YOU HAVE REPLACED THE COVER PROPERLY. IF IT DTILL LEAKS THEN YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE GASKET.

My LG front loader leaks from under the front left corner and the repair men can't figure it out and stop the leak.

Have you cleaned the filter out recently? If not, it may need cleaning. Use a flat -end screwdriver in the top of the front plinth to remove from the machine.filter should unscrew (have some towel to soak up a little bit of water). Wash out and replace. Make sure you have tightened it right up when you put it back. If you have cleaned the filter, then check you have tightened it right up.

Water is leaking from the bottom and does not discharge from drain hose

Part of the problem is that your filter is clogged. Remove the front bottom panel by unscrewing 3 small screws at the base. At the lower right, there is a filter cap that you need to unscrew by hand. Be sure to put a small pail before you unscrew it because a lot of water will come out. Then clean the filter and screw it back in.

In terms of the leaking, that started with my washer just recently. It's not the filter....think it's the rubber seal in the front. If you pull back the rubber, there are small drainage holes that can get clogged. Cleaning helps, but doesn't solve it.

Hoover ultracare 1300 large load stopping mid cycle at a variety of different points and having to be manually stopped and started again at another point to complete the wash

Checkout your filter at the bottom of the machine, undo the bottom flap below the door, front. Plug off the wall mains socket. Be prepared for a lot of water so keep plastic bag, towels ready. Unscrew the plug you see to make water flow into bag; when all water has been disposed off, clean this filter & inside, refit carefully.

After syphoning water out of drum, remove and clean filter located at bottom front left of washer, if there is a screw in the filter cover, unscrew this first.
Remove filter by unscrewing anti-clockwise.

Leaking underneath

Maybe its not draining completely? Have you tried opening the front panel, pulling out the white plug, putting a bucket under it, unscrewing the front of the plug and checking the filter?

Water leak from my washer underneath i have a Whirlpool Duet Sport® HT 3.7 I.E.C. cu

Check the filter, as it may be leaking. To do so, take white panel off the front, put a bucket in front of the unit, unseat the rubber feet holding in the white plug and pull the white plug out, unscrew it, allowing water to run into the bucket, clean filter, check the gasket, as it may need replacement (if so, replace it), then screw white plug back in, push plug back into unit, secure the rubber feet, and replace the front panel.
