Question about Humax Televison & Video
Messages received no internet connection I am connected with cables and have BT home hub and Humax Foxsat HDR/GB 710438 any ideas
I don't know this device but it maybe set to WiFi when you are on Ethrenet cable. Go into it's settings and make sure it's set to Ethernet not WiFi and DHCP for it's IP address.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Make sure you have pressed the "PVR" button at the top. If you have accidentally pressed on on the others TV, DVD or AUDIO then they will light up when you press another button signifying that the remote is trying to send a signal to them rather than the PVR...which is where you want it to go.

Just connect the scart from the dvd to the dvd scart on the humax. Viewing the dvd player output is attained by pressing the source button on the humax remote.

I'm not familiar with that particular remote control, although in my experience the most common fault in remote controls generally, apart from batteries/connections/leakage, has been caused by problems with the ceramic resonator:
Almost all remotes use these and there are 3 common problems:
1). The legs are fragile and can break off if the remote is dropped
2). The legs are plated with something that doesn't 'take' solder very well so the connections need resoldering.
If one of these 2 problems has occurred I usually attach the new or repaired resonator to the PCB with double sided tape or glue, so that the solder joints aren't the only thing holding it down!
3). The resonator can be broken internally - usually after dropping the remote. Sometimes you can hear this if you flick the resonator GENTLY in a quiet place. Only flick gently or you'll break it.
They're readily available and quite cheap.
