To replace LOT, you have to resoder it out from the circuit board, and note its number. Each type of LOT has a specific number, and that number should be used. Different numbers will have different winding confugurations, and secondary voltages. If LOT has got damaged, it is best for you to replace the Horizontal Output Transistor also. Normally when LOT gets a winding short inside, this transistor may alo get damaged, or get leaky. So replace it too at the same time. OK.

If the LOT has failed there is no other option but to replace the LOT with the same type . Remove the +B connection to the horizontal driver transistor , now measure the +B to be within the limit set in as a higher level of the +B can result in a failure.
Once confirmed that the LOT is short or open, you can continue to replace, take care to remove connection from the anode and CRT base.
