Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series reset password with out losing my configuration

Hello,
if you are talking about your enable password you will have 2 choices which are a factory reset or evoke ROMMON. The simplest way is to backup your running config via TFTP or do a #show run and copy and paste the whole config to a txt file and then reset to factory default and then just load(or paste) that config and then do a #copy run start.

I have wiifi on my computer do i need a router

This is a very good question. The short answer is that you do need something to take your Internet signal coming into your home and broadcast it wirelessly. You have to options here:
1.) You can contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask if they have any modem/router combos. This would be one device which would serve as your modem AND wireless router. For example, AT&T has their "2Wire" (that's the brand name) modem, but it has full wired and wireless functionality. Setting up one device is much easier than configuring a modem and a separate wireless router for a few reasons. First, your ISP will walk you through the configuration of their device OR they may even send a tech to your home for the installation. Second, your ISP will generally NOT help you with a 3rd party device (ie. some wireless router you bought at Best Buy). Finally, when your network goes down - and it will someday - it is waaay easier to troubleshoot when you have the single device modem/router combo.
2.) Buying a wireless router would be your other option. This router would work WITH your existing modem. If you have DSL, the setup can be difficult if you're not experienced. If you have broadband/cable Internet, then it's a bit easier. In the latter case, you could just call the manufacturer of the router and ask them to help you set up your WIFI network (and secure it!) and they will usually help you free of charge.
In summary, I recommend going with a modem/wireless-router combo if you have DSL. If you have broadband/cable Internet, it probably doesn't matter. No matter which way you go, you will be spending between $60-80 (please don't spend more than $80. pretty please.) I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to reply to this message.

My wireless mouse and keyboard both stopped working. I reconnected my old keyboard and mouse (non-wireless) and it doesn't work either. Cannot do anything. A bubble comes up saying a malfucntion...

The problem could be a whole bunch of things. First suspects:
- Need new batteries in wireless mouse/keyboard
- Missing the USB receiver from your computer or it isn't paired correctly - this is my guess if both died at the same time.

I would recommend grabbing an old-style corded mouse and keyboard from a friend and plugging those in. Then you can use them to diagnose the problem. If you get that far, you can go to Device Manager (just type into lookup box near Windows button) and try updating the driver by right-clicking on the devices under Keyboards and Mice respectively.

If the USB receiver isn't working or you have lost it, you can usually buy a replacement receiver for much less than buying the mouse and keyboard. An example for the most common variety: Logitech:
