Sounds remarkably like you have a circuit in operation, and at 4.09 amps it's something with a fairly high draw. What has been left switched on? In an older vehicle with a lower amperage draw showing I'd have said take a look at the boot/trunk light!

Finding the owner's manual in the 2002 BMW K1200 LT

Hi, Arturo for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. STARTER ON BMW K1200LT WHIRS BUT ENGINE WONT TURN OVER

Hi, Anonymous the starter drive/Bendix is a mechanical gear driven component that engages the clutch pack ring gear to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced. For more information about your issue, please visit the websites below. Good luck and have nice a day. http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/7-vtx-1300-riders-board/239682-starter.html?action=thread

BMW K1200 LT CHARGED BATTERY BUT WHEN FITTING POS TERMINAL ITS OK BUT WHEN NEG TERMINAL FITTED STARTER TURNS OVER AND WONT STOP

You have either a starter relay or the solenoid is stuck. Since I don't know what make the starter is, that's about all I can tell you. Try putiing the bike in high gear and rolling it back and forth and turn the engine just a bit. Sometimes that "unsticks" a starter drive gear. Might work. Good Luck!
