My granddaughter played with my laptop and now I can't get into it...As soon as it begins to boot up is asks me to "input password for WDC WD3200BPVT-22ZES?" which I presume is the hard drive name. Any idea how to fix this?

HDD passwords are hard to clear and very often the data is lost if a workround is used.

Granddaughter signed in with my name and I cant get my account up I don't know her password.i just want to play a dvd.

Hi one easy way to do this your self is with a software boot disc. Anmosft is one but there are lots out there that I have used. You put in the disc as soon as you start the PC then it boots to the disc instead of your operating system then you follow the prompts and enter a new password Pleas write it down .

My sony laptop needs to bypass the log on password

This can usually be achieved but firstly you would have to prove the laptop belongs to you and isn't stolen - A Sony laptop will usually have a Microsoft Windows operating system and passwords can usually be changed using a 'boot' cd or password recovery disc (I'm presuming you haven't created a password recovery disc or you wouldn't have posted your question on fixya) - Download a boot cd and burn it to disc using another computer - set the start-up options on the locked laptop to 'boot from cd first' (You'd need to press one of the keys as soon as your laptop begins booting up to get into the BIOS or SETUP so you can choose this option - it might be shown on screen or you can Google it to find out which key to press) - Once you've booted from the cd instead of from the operating system on the laptop's hard drive you should follow the instructions on screen - then take out the cd, change the boot settings back to 'internal hard drive first', and re boot into Windows

Granddaughter fooled around and changed password and doesn't know what she changes it to ..ay way to fix it I am nt able to log in at all

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :-

Ive got a E system and it needs a bypass password this wasnt entered in to the system when it was first brought please help

Does the laptop ask for a password as soon as you power it on?? If so it is your bios master password to bypass any current password that is set. can supply you with the bios master password you need for only $20 and they guarantee it to work or your money back. I do laptop repair and I use them when I need a bios password reset or a hard drive password reset.

Asks for password before booting up.

You can bypass this. When booting up, enter your BIOS setup (usually by pressing the F2 key at the appropriate time).Locate the BIOS Password section and turn the ON STARTUP password to off.

Also check this link if it helps:-

It keep asking for a password as soon i turn it on

There is only ONE FREE way, and that is to make and use a Key Disk for Toshiba laptops.
Some Toshiba notebooks allow to bypass BIOS by inserting a "key-disk" in the floppy disk drive while booting. To create a Toshiba Keydisk, take a 720Kb or 1.44Mb floppy disk, format it (if it's not formatted yet), then use a hex editor such as Hex Workshop to change the first fwe bytes of the second sector (the one after the boot sector) and set them to 4B 45 59 00 00 (note that the first three bytes are the ASCII for "KEY" :) followed by two zeroes). Once you have created the key disk put it into the notebook's drive and turn it on, then push the reset button and when asked for password, press Enter. You will be asked to Set Password again. Press Y and Enter. You'll enter the BIOS configuration where you can set a new password. .
Or one can take it to an authorised service center, and for a price, and with proof of ownership, they will unlock your unit for you

I only know a system. Disconnect all the electric source, take out the little battery of the motherboard and wait one or two minutes, then put the battery and connect the electric source.

your motherboard's configurations is set to ask for password as soon as booting
try using the password Toshiba ( with capital T ) or toshiba ( small t ) .. normally that's the backdoor password for Toshiba laptops .. if either don't work .. try to hold the left Shift key as soon as you boot the pc .. this also can be a solution to bypass the password.. if none is working let me know :)
